But wasnt Which Way to the Party basically the first part of Dancing Through Life? I thought they just merged WWttP with We Deserve Each Other and made Dancing Through Life. I could be wrong though.
I wanted to get something that an "ex"-junkie like him would really appreciate and cherish....it's a brick of heroin shaped like a heart.

Kinda on the same topic, but I didn't want to make a new post..
I was just listening to A New Brain, and after Gordon's first verse in "Just Go" and during the rhyming at the end, you can hear the opening chords of "Anytime".
Also, cut songs from Parade: "I Didn't Do It" and "I Have Something to Say".
Yes... "A Change In Me" is in Beauty and The Beast but the song is not featured on the obc cd.... I have it... and i totally agree... i love that song...

The Grass Harp: Brazil (Sung by George Rose in an excellent collection), The Most Beautiful Girl in the World (Sung by Max Showalter in a collection), and Beauty Secrets (Sung in the collection by Barbara Cook). Also: Love is in the Air from Funny Thing... Forum, was replaced by Comedy Tonight.
All Things Bright And Beautiful - Follies Back to the Palace - Into The Woods Interesting Questions - Into the Woods Just Like Last Night - Into The Woods Love is in the Air - A funny...Forum + The second version of the opening that I can't recall the name of... There's Always A Woman - Anyone Can Whistle
wow that is perfect! I'm trying to put a benefit together with a lot of cut/unsung songs from Broadway. I have the New York Theatre Workshop version of rent (and can share it) where also would I hear some of these cut songs.
Keep the list coming - please include your favorites. Also I'm trying to think of many current shows that have had songs cut and more Broadway shows featuring rock.
There Won't Be Trumpets was indeed cut from Anyone Can Whistle. Her previous monologue got such thunderous applause that nobody clapped for the song. They recorded it, but it was cut during previews, and it was absent for the 8 show run.
The LOST IN BOSTON series contains nearly 60 cut songs. Some are better than others, but all are interesting to hear.
"When I Went Home" - a heartbreaker from PETER PAN "Where Do I Go from here?" - from FIORELLO "Thousands of Flowers" from I DO! I DO!
and one I really like...
"Take it in Your Stride" from ANNIE GET YOUR GUN
SOme of the songs you can see that they would not fit well into the final version of the show, but the last clearly went late in Act One when Annie sees her star billing poster and does a reprise of "Show Business." Now, originally they wanted a reprise of "Show Business" for Ethel and they wanted to promote the song as one of the shows hits. Now we don't need the extra reprise, so when we did the show in concert here about 10 years ago we included "Take it in Your Stride" where it worked quite well.
Cast albums are NOT "soundtracks." Live theatre does not use a "soundtrack." If it did, it wouldn't be live theatre!
I host a weekly one-hour radio program featuring cast album selections as well as songs by cabaret, jazz and theatre artists. The program, FRONT ROW CENTRE is heard Sundays 9 to 10 am and also Saturdays from 8 to 9 am (eastern times) on www.proudfm.com
Tonya Pinkins: Then we had a "Lot's Wife" last June that was my personal favorite. I'm still trying to get them to let me sing it at some performance where we get to sing an excerpt that's gone.
Tony Kushner: You can sing it at my funeral.
Not all of these I feel should have been left in; they're just songs I like. Of course, some I DO think should have been left in.
"Only Love" from The Scarlet Pimpernel "Believe" from The Scarlet Pimpernel "Too Much for One Heart" from Miss Saigon "Kim and Tam" from Miss Saigon "Little God of My Heart" from Miss Saigon "When I Look at You (Reprise)" from The Scarlet Pimpernel "L'Air de la Misére" from Les Mis - I know it's the same tune as "On My Own," but... "I Need to Know" from JaH - not really cut, but wasn't on the OBC "Opening" from Jane Eyre "Let Me Be Brave" from Jane Eyre The Canadian version of "Forgiveness" from Jane Eyre "I Saw Him Once" from Les Mis
All of you people listening Scarlet Pimpernel concept songs... you made me dig out my recording to listen to it. Thanks.
Jimmy, what are you doing here in the middle of the night? It's almost 9 PM!
"A Change In Me" as I understand it is not a cut song. It is not on the OBCR because it was not in the show when the recording was made. The song was added, I believe, during Toni Braxton's stint as Belle. I saw Beauty and the Beast twice, both times before it moved, and never saw the song in the show. For those of you that want a recording, Susan Egan (OBC Belle) recorded the song on her solo CD "So Far..." She even mentions in the liner notes how the song was added long after she had left the part. It is nice to have the recorded version, though, and since Egan is Belle, there is no continuity problems just adding the song into your Original Broadway Cast iPod playlist : ) Updated On: 6/14/06 at 01:24 PM
"Say A Prayer For Me Tonight", was cut from MY FAIR LADY, while the show was in Philadelphia. Eliza sang it to the servants, right before she went to the ball. It later appeared in the film GIGI.
Was "The Girls of the Night" cut from Jekyll & Hyde too?? I don't remember if it was cut or if it was just recorded for one of the earlier albums. Linda (Eder of course) was one of the voices. Can't remember who the other woman was.
'"The Girl In 14G" from "Thoroughly Modern Millie"'
somethingwicked, I don't believe this song was written for "Millie", though it was composed by Jeanine for Kristin, who starred as Millie in the workshop. Am I mistaken, anyone?
"Blood on the Pavement" - Hairspray "Hey, Nebraska" - The Producers "Stumbling" and "One Manhattan" - Millie
'Doxie, where can one hear the INTO THE WOODS stuff? ' I second finding clips from one of my favorite shows.
...And so, there I was at the stage door for "Equus". The enthused avalanche of "Harry Potter" fans was literally pushing me into the barricades. As I was thrust face-first into Daniel Radcliffe's hat, I suddenly felt the thumb of a lanky gentleman behind me pressing firmly into my back. It was then that I realized that both of his hands had Playbills, and that both arms were outstretched in front of me...
"Right on Time" from Wedding Singer (I know, I know!)
Also, just a clarification, "A Change in Me" isn't on the Beauty and the Beast cast recording because the song hadn't yet been written when the CD was recorded.
"There's Always A Woman"-Anyone Can Whistle (Sheer perfection, especially as performed by Madeline Kahn and Bernadette Peters in the concert recording) "There Won't Be Trumpets"-Anyone Can Whistle "Bang!"-A Little Night Music
