Hi CastAlbumFan...
My choice for the worst Best Musical EVER goes to...
SUNSET BOULEVARD
A piece of crap all dressed up in gold leaf.
As far as musicals that only I seem to dislike...
PHANTOM
JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING...
JEKYLL & HYDE
CONTACT

Carousel
Kismet (with the exception of Baubles, bangles and beads)
Phantom
It's refreshing that there are people who don't care for My Fair Lady (even though I like it).
Some people mentioned Annie. The problem with Annie is the second half for me. It slows the show way down too much. I just don't know what it is. I want to like this show a lot. Even the tv special with Kathy Bates ran out of steam in that second half.

Hiya, scooter!
Have to agree with you about JOSEPH and JEKYLL AND HYDE.
I would agree with you about CONTACT being a musical everyone else seems to like except for the fact that I don't consider CONTACT a musical!
Go ahead and burn me at the stake, but I hate:
Carousel
Oklahoma
WSS
Grease
Once on this Island. I saw it and I actually fell asleep. I couldn't take it anymore.
Cats, I just didn't get it.
Oklahoma...it brings back bad memories of when I was in a production of it.
Scooter you make me laugh, Sunset boulevard is boring to me too.
Good one, shlamdiddy. What the hell is "Once On This Island" even about??
I have no clue! I couldn't pay attention long enough! All I know is that there is a girl and an island.
I shudder at the memory
Well.. ill explain briefly
Once on this Island is about a girl: Ti Mouin..(at like I think thats how you spell it) Who was abondoned when she was a child and was found by an elderly couple Ton ton Julian and Mama Yoali... and when Ti gets older, a young mandame Daniel Bosoome...(I can't spell ) Is driving his car nd Agwe (God of Water) Crashes Daniels car and Ti rescues him. Daniel is recused by Ti, and Ti finds out that Daniel comes from a rich family. So Daniel is taken away and Ti tries to go after him, and her parent won't let her go. And then when Ti gets to Daniles estate she fines out that he has been arrranged to marry someones else, named Andrea. and...the rest is pretty sad. but yeah, It was a REALLY rough telling to what it really is about, if you see the show again with a good cast I'm sure you will like it, I did
Grease has been revived and put on way too much, that show needs to be put to rest already due to the fact that its all the same where ever you go. And also BECAUSE ITS FRIGGEN ANCIENT, I used to like Grease when I first heard it, I just cant bear it anymore
The Producers: Dear looooooooooooooooooord, what a horrible show, I dont even want to get into it!

The King And I- The Cast i saw was HORRIBLE
Evita- fell asleep
Chicago- LOVED the movie, but ahh the stage show was soooo boring.
The Music Man- Maybe it was just the movie, but i couldnt get through 5 minutes.
Godspell
My Fair Lady
Mamma Mia
Footloose- you think seeing it is bad? try going through 3 months of rehersals singing those awful songs. However, i LOVE the movie.
West Side Story
CATS
and OMG *gasp* Sweeney Todd *rollseyes*
Not that I've lost hope. I'm praying that one day I see a cast that makes me enjoy it. Hey, fourth time's a charm... right?

Cats Why, ALW, why!!???
Follies (though Sondheim is my idol)
Hairspray Sugary sweet out the wazoo.
Dirty Rotten Scoundrels Yaz had it right with TFM. DRS is a hodgepodge of allusions from five years ago attatched to a poor production (though an amazing cast!).

The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee
Spelling bees are boring, and so is this show.
I forgot Jesus Christ Superstar. Ugh. Horrid stuff.
I also can't stand The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee...if it had an intermission, I would have left.

All of Rodgers and Hammerstein except "Carousel" (done to death!)
Brigadoon (we're supposed to envy people who are trapped forever in a town where all you do is wear kilts and milk cows?)
All of Andrew Lloyd Webber except "Evita" (they're musical assaults, not musicals.)
ALL of Frank Wildhorn, especially "Jekyll" ("Murder, murder/It's a curse, man/Murder, murder/It's perverse, man" WHAT??????? This is Victorian England??????)
I like "Kismet" and "The Fantasticks" more than most people. I also love the pop energy in the scores of "Aida" and--gulp--"Footloose." If only they didn't have to talk in between songs...

I found it charming at first, but after listening to it more, I didn't find it as smart or witty as most people on this board did. I think the big reason why many people love it is because it's the Anti-Wicked and looked like everything that Wicked wasn't.
Also, I'm going to get killed for this, but to a much lesser extent, Caroline, Or Change. It's not that I hate the show, but it seems that everyone loves it and hardly finds faults in it. Although I feel Caroline, or Change definitely should've won the Best Musical Tony and I find the score to be absolutely beautiful, I think the show to be overrated as well. I think Kushner spoon-feeds us so many things in the book (like does Caroline really have to scream that she can hardly read?) and it seems that he does everything he can to drive his point across that some of the characters are just cliched and too shallow.

most definitely CATS...but then, i'm not a big ALW fan in general
Here are three I have no time for...
Les Miserables - way too long and self indulgent.
Miss Saigon - a vulgar, vulgar tasteless show.
West Side Story - I've heard that score too, too much.
