I can't believe I forgot to post this. My best friend took a hit of ecstacy at the intermission during RENT on Pride weekend in 1996. He was an absolute joy to sit next to!

Benadryl alters one of my best friend's moods and he is not allowed to take it. So yes, drugs affect different people in different ways. I was recently prescribed percoset and I can only take a half a pill at a time.
Haha, I heart Phyllis. I think ANYONE CAN WHISTLE only makes sense IF you are rolling. Ghostlight, my bad, I give credit where credit is due. Probably smoking this dangerous thing called marijuana that makes me confuse posters and such

Anyone remember when being high on ecstasy was called "wigging" instead of "rolling"? Of course, that was back when ecstasy was the real thing before they started cutting it wth meth and God knows what else. And combining ecstasy and acid (something I never dared) was known as "twigging".

Oh yeah...It's all coming back to me now! I also just remembered taking a friend to see "Whistle Down the Wind" at the National Theater in DC. He spent most of the first act in K Hole.

“Actually, the myth that pot is harmless is now bunk. Due to manipulation done to intensify it, marijuana kills brain cells...with the very first smoke.”
Link please?
“And, let me add that I have tried pot more then once and pot does more to alter your state of mind then any of that which you listed. Benedryl just makes makes you tired and need to fall asleep ASAP.”
That’s how it affects YOU, Winston, not everyone else. I was more messed up off Benadryl while working PHANTOM that I ever was smoking grass.

Well, I will be damned. Diva and I in total agreement. "...with the very first smoke" indeed. After that sweeping statement, I couldn't possibly care less what link dramamama provided. That's right up there with Reefer Madness - you're positively doomed from your first puff. Benadryl ("...makes makes you tired and need to fall asleep ASAP”) has exactly the opposite effect on many people, and that is documented by many reliable and respected sources.
My aunt gave my 4-year-old cousin Benadryl and he didn't sleep for 3 days. I have to take half-pills, because after a full pill, I turn into a zombie and can't function.
Ritilan and other mood stabilizer meds (which I have been on, different ones at different times) don't alter your mind at all.
That's exactly what they do! They fire artificial chemicals into your synapses to alter your brain activity.

I was working PHANTOM in Orange County, and was given a Benadryl right before a show. I don't remember anything that happened in Act II. Nothing. I could have ran out during curtian call and taken my pants off. Weed has never done anything close to that with me.
Needless to say I will never take one of those again, before a show.

Not to mention the aftermath, I find that after taking NyQuil and the like I'm pretty much useless for the first few hours of the next day when I wake up (even when I sleep in). And there's nothing like an alcohol hangover. Yet after you're done smoking, you just stop being high, and that's it, at least for me there's no such thing as weed hangover (unless of course it's mixed with other substances).

Exactly. I woke up at 7am and went across town to sit in line all morning for Shakespeare in the Park tickets. No way could I have done that after a night of drinking, or even a dose of Nyquil or Benadryl.

What was that like? For some reason, I think I'd just be anxious having to sit down the whole time, I like to move around a lot when rolling, it feels nice since I'm rarely so full of energy

I've heard that many of the patrons take x before fuerzaburta. Oh to be young and happy to dance with my shirt off again!Oh well...we all have to grow up sometime!

I've heard the same GatorNY and can't say that that doesn't sound like a lot of fun, and I can guarantee you there's no E stink!

SporkGoddess, an argument could easily be made that just about anything can alter someone's brain chemistry. That doesn't mean it should be illegal. Hell, there is research that says that foods high in fat, salt and sugar can alter our brain's chemistry. Are you going to ban those? As I've said endless times, pot has never killed anyone. Alcohol and the plethora of prescription drugs readily available to anyone with the smallest complaint can't make the same claim.
