It's the 33 that made me laugh.

Yeah well it'll be 34 in 3 weeks.
I hope you wear a party hat!
(Like I was wearing at a friend's birthday...and ended up getting my picture taken for Next magazine. SIXTEEN YEARS of avoiding getting my picture in the rag, and I look like the 40-year-old birthday boy at the adult assisted living facility).
LOL! God, I hope that doesn't happen to me.

So I thought ASUNCION was great...
Great. But this thread is about me.

Ah. My mistake.
Jordan, such blatant selfishness may go a long way with Gylly. After all, he dated Taylor Swift.
It's the 'dated' that made me laugh.
She gave the toothy tile some pulls.

I DID say you could call me a jealous b*tch and I wouldn't deny it...
Eh. Something about him rubs me the wrong way. But then again, I'm jealous of all these actors-turned-playwrights-turned-perfumists-turned-musicians.
Wah wah!
Wait. All of them or just the successful ones?
Sorry. I'm just a little confused.
So, does he genuinely rub you the wrong way?
Or are you just jealous?
I guess, that explains why she wasn't available to do Driving Miss Daisy Australian Tour next February.

Miss Redgrave is a very intelligent actor and I don't think she would sign up for a play unless she thought it was a very good role. She rarely does original plays so it must be something she feels very positive about. And it is off-broadway so she obviously isn't doing it for the money.

I kvetched a lot when Zoe Kazan had her play, and Zach Braff his too... It sometimes feels like it's impossible to ever actually "make it" when people monopolize all fields of the industry.
I'm just whining. Don't take it so seriously. :)
Bump. Does anyone know how strictly limited this engagement is? If my next NYC trip isn't until the end of April, do I have reason to hope? Or do I need to let this one go?

Has anyone seen this yet? I want to see it if it's good!

I saw it tonight and was very impressed. I thought the play was fantastic. I really enjoyed Asuncion, but I think Revisionist definitely is a step forward for Eisenberg. Great performances across the board. Such a joy to see Redgrave in top form. I would consider this a companion piece, of sorts, to 4000 Miles. They are both completely different plays, but share some similar themes.
I definitely wouldn't miss this one.
I saw the show tonight and was deeply moved. It's a very touching, sweet, hilarious and, at times, heart-breaking play. Redgrave was remarkable. The show is two hours with no intermission and it flew by. In fact, I was slightly devastated when the show ended- I wanted there to be a whole extra act that would continue the beautiful story.

I'm really glad to hear this. I took a chance and booked my ticket a while back.
I saw this tonight and thought it was great. LOVED Vanessa. She plays an older, Jewish Polish woman, who speaks English with a Polish accent as well as some dialogue in Polish. She is very spry; there is a lovely physicality to her performance that made me completely believe that she was that woman. she's warm, moving and very, very funny. It's a treat to see an actress of this caliber in such an intimate venue.
Eisenberg is able to keep up with her and gives a fine performance in his own right. His character is arrogant and a bit of a prick, but he underscores these negative qualities with humanity and makes it work.
The play itself is quite good. As someone else mentioned it reminded me of 4000 Miles. This play creeps up on you though- there are a lot of laughs and slowly you realize you really care about these two characters, so when things start to get serious it caused some panic in me.
I hope Eisenberg keeps writing plays, and keeps performing too. I think this is one that will stay in my mind for days to come.
Is this a two character play?
Judging by the BWW photos, 3, I'd say.
Haven't seen the photos, but thanks. Someone told me to wait a while because Redgrave is having a problem with lines, but from the above reviews, doesn't sound like it is a problem.
