I listened to the cast recording of the original production and I don't see this doing well on Broadway.
This’ll be a big ol’ floppity flop.
Not since Glory Days...
I dunno, guys, I feel like this has a thimble full of potential to do moderately well for itself. Rando's proven he knows how to do comedy exceedingly well, and the score doesn't sound "godawful". With it opening in the summer, it *could* turn out to be a sleeper hit of the summer -- Nothing wrong with some irreverent musical comedy on the boards. Casting pending, for $50, I'll take it, and hope for the best.

This sounds like an Adam Sandler movie. Lol
It's better when you consider the fact they literally put an Adam Sandler movie on Broadway a few years ago, and it's probably better than this'll turn out to be.
and the score doesn't sound "godawful"
Hava Nagila and Bart's Confession are the definition of "godawful".
Yikes. Whats going on with Broadway recently? It seems like anything can transfer

Do we know the cast for this yet?
Is Ken Davenport starring in it too?

Just because we want originality doesn't mean we don't also want quality

What factors are you basing quality on for this show, right now?

I know I'm not the person you asked, but I'd agree that the quality of the music in the cast recording is not what I'd expect from a Broadway show.

I never say that because it's ludicrous. And completely ignorant of the entire history of Broadway and musical theatre.
I'm no expert, but maybe the harsh reaction to this from BWW has to do with Davenport's involvement?
If anyone's interested, the $40 preview pricing is live on Telecharge.

After a lackluster season, maybe people will be pining for some new musical theater instead of some retread? Who knows.I like the logo.
I saw them do a short presentation at BroadwayCon and was underwhelmed. I still went to the box office and got a $40 orchestra seat this morning. I like Marilu Henner and at the very least it should be an interesting failure.
Hey, it’s me, Mitch Papadopoulos. I heard you guys were talking about my new show and I figured if I’m gonna get trolled either way, I might as well weigh in for myself. As you may know, I recently had to move home after I was fired from my fancy finance job, so I’m living proof that following your dreams is no more of a risk than settling for your boring safety plan! Anyway, I got my band back together, and we’re really hoping that our second shot at our collective first love (ROCK N’ ROLL!!!!!) plays out better than our first, when we were younger, hotter, and only a little dumber. Check out our first music video, and come see our reunion tour once it hits the Broadway stage on July 19th! bit.ly/GTBBTMusicVideo

So tell us, "Mitch", is Ken "Bialystock" Davenport paying his interns, yet?
Hahahah, That’s a first! Kudos for doing something different on here.
