the Wiz (Queen) has layers!
Weren't there originally some songs that were left off the original cast recording? Might they still happen or have we missed where they may have been?

I've got about an hour left and it's not terrible. The camera work is awful and I thought Amber Riley seemed out of her depth, but all in all it's a lot of fun. Dorothy seems kinda horny, but her acting isn't so bad. Stephanie Mills and Ne-Yo are the standouts.

ETA - that's not about Queen. First and foremost, it's about that Apple joke! Although Amber Riley was rushing through that part so her delivery didn't help.

Anyone else think the scene with Queen Latifah was Harvey's subtle way of getting her to come out?

The Sound of Music had the best camera work of the three, as both Peter Pan and Wiz seemed to go with no direction at all. The set design except for the munchkin part was awful. That would be it for me, but its not a show I would be queuing to get a seat for.

Uzo did great! I actually really like that she slightly cracked a note towards the end. Proves the singing is real.

Uzo was phenomenal. I also love the song Home.

Well, she was in the revival of Godspell (she sang "By My Side" if I recall correctly).
I'm glad that they got rid of the blonde goofy wig for her from the promos. I think it helped the costume stand a bit more on its own, and not look like the hair was coming out of it.

fbueller, she was in the 2011 GODSPELL revival on Broadway. She sang By My Side and sounded so amazing. I prefer her version on that recording to any other version.

I loved Shanice's rendition of 'Home'. The orchestra was entirely too loud in a couple of sections which drowned her out, however. Who is conducting this?

I guess I just liked her blonde curly hair because I prefer Glinda as a blonde. Her voice is insane.
