Natalie Cortez will continue in the role of Anita for the remainder of the Broadway run (Karen Olivo will not return per doctor's orders)
Wow, that is really upsetting.
Oh a interesting note: The revival will have out run the original production by just 16 performances.
Not surprised. Best of luck to the cast!
We're up to 3 January closings (not limited runs) so far.

yeah natalie cortez was telling me she has taken over the role for good about 3 days ago.... its sad wouldve loved to see Olivo, but Cortez was pretty awesome as Anita.
well glad im seeing it again one last time before it closes and this time with the new Maria. sigh wish Scaliogne was contining to the end of the broadway run.
Wait, Promises already announced they are closing? I didn't think anything was offical?
I'm glad they're getting a new Maria.

A BWW poster's husband was hired to do the load out.
The Great White Way Report's Facebook status talks about them at the Priscilla press event right now. How coincidental that WSS's closing went up right now and Priscilla will announce their theatre tonight!

Sad news, but the show had a very good run. Too bad that Karen won't be returning.
Let's hope the next revival will restore the beauty and dramatic power of Jerome Robbins's glorious choreography.
Amen PalJoey
Darn, I actually enjoyed this production, even thought it wasn't super super amazing. I need to get to the Palace sometime soon!

It had a great run. It really is too bad Karen Olivo can't return.
Not surprised one bit that Karen isn't returning.
Not my favorite production, but congrats to everyone involved on a great run.
