Really, I think I liked Mamie Parris less than any Elphaba I've seen. Maybe she was having an off night?

When was the last time a brand new Glinda starred in the Broadway production? No dis-respect to Alli (a job is a job, why wouldn't she take it?) but I really feel Wicked could do with some fresh meat. I know everyone's probably fed up hearing her name come up for things but.. Annaleise Van Der Pol, anyone?
Jenn Gambatese was horrible when I saw her on tour. She chewed the scenery, spit it out, and chewed it again. Plus, she simply doesn't have the voice for the role.
How about someone completely new? I surely do miss when Wicked attracted interesting talent instead of recycling the same old boring performers who should have stayed in the ensemble.
I agree that Jenn was not the greatest Glinda (I've also seen Kristin, Megan Hilty, and Kendra Kassebaum in it) - her voice didn't fit the role to me. Dee Roscoli also took a while for me to warm up to, but by the end I really enjoyed her.

Oh. Yeah, obviously it's our fault that you don't know what the word "literally" means and we should have known you weren't really crying when you said you "literally" were.
If wicked keeps up with this reuse of talent I think it may really lose it's charm. I'm not saying that these performers aren't talented, quite the contrary, but when someone is playing a role for so long they tend to lose that special spark. I'd really love to see some new life in this show. Either way it'll be around for a LOOOONG time.

Jennifer Laura Thompson was last the person who was never a standby or understudy or recycled person to play the role. I'm guessing that it is difficult here in America to find a actress with a soprano voice for this role. The replacements for the role of Glinda in the West End production were all fresh faces.

Really? There are tons of girls who would love to play this role. They really can't find anyone from the pool of young actresses that are auditioning?
I also agree, Jenn wasn't the best Glinda and her voice sounded strained on some of the higher notes. On the other hand, Alison Luff was amazing (Elphaba).
