Just got an E-Mail from Roundabout...
Cabaret Tickets are on sale now :)
I'm so excited!!!!
After thoroughly reading through the e-mail,
seems like we need the HIPTIX code to buy full price tickets for now
the code is CBTHIP
Cabaret tickets have been on pre-sale to most Roundabout members and people on their mailing list for about a week.
You won't be so excited once you see what lousy seat choices they are offering outside of subscriber packages. Although I am a flex subscriber, they haven't assigned a performance or seats to me yet so I have no idea what I'll end up with. I figured I'd go a second time anyway and bought another pair last week. I ccouldn't find a halfway decent couple of seats (front row mezz)until July.

I entered the code it was accepted but then I couldn't find where to buy tickets.....any suggestions?
I'm guessing Access 10 seats are gone.
You're right!!! i'm gonna wait for the actual sale then :P
Random Qs:
Do we know how long Michelle Williams is contracted for?
Seating sections to avoid (or aim for) based upon your prior experiences at Studio 54?
Can a revival of a revival be nominated for Tony's in major categories for which it has been nominated before (Best Revival, Best Actor etc..?)
Is it assumed that Mr. Mendes and Mr. Marshall will "fully" direct the new cast, or will they simply oversee the production the way in which a director does on a long-running show?
Assuming this re-launch has a long run, let's do a a bit of dream casting. Who would be ideal to replace Mr. C and Ms. W. in the lead roles?
Horsetears:
I saw Studio 54's previous revival twice--once from the front mezz and once from one of the tables mid-orchestra. I can't say I was thrilled with either although I remember the front mezz having a clearer view. It's a choice between Studio 54's insufferably cramped mezz or uncomfortable orchestra seats at miniscule tables where you are crammed in with strangers--unless you are a party of four. The table seats can put you at odd angles to the stage and I don't remember the floor being raked--so the view was obscured by a lot of heads. A third choice, the sofa seating, seemed an even worse option as they put your head lower than those of the people sitting at tables in front of you.
But that was 13 years ago and perhaps I am remembering the seating to be worse than it really was. Maybe they've made significant improvements to the seating plan, but it really appears identical to me. Regardless, the show itself remains one of my all time top five favorites!
It's only running 3/21/2014 through 8/31/2014. They are contracted until it ends.
Access10 won't be available until the public sale on Sunday.
And, it looks like Access 10 for this show will not exist in the traditional sense. They are giving away 54 seats at $54 each for the first 4 performances. You have to show up to the box office on Monday for a noon opening. I had a feeling they would do something like this for this show. I just wasn't expecting the $54 price tag.

I am pretty sure that's an additional promotion on top of Access 10.
Oh, okay. I will wait and cross my fingers. It just seemed much like it.
Those who know, know. Let's speak of it no further.
Got my tickets for Saturday evening, April 26th. I looked at every performance during the 10 days that I'll be there, and that night had 2 great table seats, so I took them. Can't wait.
I saw the original production in June of 1998, and it was extraordinary. Natasha R & Alan C were brilliant.
Anyone know when tickets go on sale for the general public? I hope they won't be too impossible to get. I have a feeling this will be my Christmas present from my mother since she keeps badgering me asking when tickets go on sale. :)
how are the seats in the last row of the mezz? for the presale (and general sale too I guess), those are the only seats under $90 really. I've seen shows at Studio 54 before, but the tables at the front of the mezz is throwing me off
What tables at the front of the mezzanine?

^^
On Roundabout's site, the graphic you select your seats from indicates that in the mezz:
Rows AA-DD are seats with drink tables (the black bars on the diagram you posted)
Rows EE-NN are standard seats
ah, thanks for that additional graphic, that makes more sense to me! I was thinking actual tables from the description on the roundabout site, but it looks like they may just be more like airline seat fold over trays?
How do you reach the ticket purchase page? I put in the HipTix promo code on the Cabaret main page, but it doesn't lead to a link anywhere.

Saw this when it first opened and cannot wait to see it again. Love the new cast. Loved the old one. I am really looking forward to this. Reliving a special piece of theatrical magic from 10 years ago.

It appears that the presale codes (including HIPTIX) only work when you access the ticketing page from the link in the emails Roundabout sent out.

I have a question about Hiptix...the website says "$25 Hiptix tickets for Cabaret will go on sale in Winter 2014. " Does this mean that Hiptix tickets do not go on sale at the same time as regular tickets go on sale? So will I not be able to get Hiptix tomorrow, or has this just not been updated with the correct date?
