Les Miserables continues to impress coming down the home stretch...
Ooh Rotten...:/
A nice little bump for "Chicago". I wonder who is coming in as Roxie, when Bianca Marroquin departs on Sept. 2nd?
HAMILTON's grosses dropped. I'm guessing they post a closing notice shortly.
Every week I keep wishing Jersey Boys would close already. That's the only theater left that I haven't been to and I really don't wanna watch JB again (watched it in San Francisco). The producers must have very deep pockets to keep that show afloat.
I'm sad for Kinky Boots. I wish they would still make it until the end of the year but I really don't think they will make it to September. I hope Billy Porter, Stark Sand, Annaleigh Ashford and Lena Hall would be able to go back in their final months.... I would pay big bucks for it.
How do you not think Kinky Boots will make it to September? It's two and a half weeks away...

"It truly is sad and pathetic when someone actively wishes the closing of a show. They may not be making their grosses as in years past. But, they are working their asses off to present the best show possible. Some things are beyond their control."

Markie, if you are going to post in grosses threads, it would behoove you to gain at least a marginal knowledge of what you are talking about. JB is fine, and KB is not posting a closing notice next week. Any other ideas? No one has said Hamilton won't last till xmas recently, so it's all yours...

To Pattilupone fanatic: I do apologize for my heartless remark. you are right, people do work their asses off for that show and it was selfish of me to wish them to close so I can see the inside of the theatre. That was really pathetic and I'm sorry again.
To broadway concierge. I was exaggerating. Sorry about that. My wording was idiotic. My bad! God I wish they won't post a closing notice anytime soon! I love that show.
To hoganshero. I'm sorry for my ignorance. I thought that $550,000 won't be enough of a nut for Jersey Boys to pay off all their expenses as I have ready here recently about the cost in running a production. my mistake. Do you know how much they need to earn every week to keep the show running? Since you seem to know what you are saying. Just wondering. Thanks.

As a long running hit that has recouped it is unlikely that Kinky Boots would post a sudden closing notice. When they do post their notice I would be willing to bet that it will still give a long enough period for them to do a big "final weeks/months" ad campaign.
Their producers also just recently shelled out some pretty big bucks to do a final put in rehearsal with the entire orchestra. You don't spend that kind of money on a put in rehearsal if you're planning on posting a closing notice anytime soon (many put in rehearsals are done with piano only).

I wonder how much Rotten's weekly cost has changed with the replacements? I can't imagine Rob McClure or Will Chase are getting what Brian D'Arcy James and Christian Borle were getting

So happy to see Cats doing really well!! Looks like it'll be around a lot longer than people had hoped it would be or thought ! :) Such a good production.

And that was sarcasm
Glad to see The Humans is still doing well after their transfer.
On Your Feet looks like it won't stay open much longer.
and KINKY BOOTS isn't going anywhere. Not with their recent announcement of Todrick Hall joining the show(Nov-March).

Making a new casting announcement means nothing. If he doesn't bring in new patrons within the first couple months, I predict they announce by January. This Todrick Hall addition is more an act of final desperation than anything else.
I agree it is. They're likely just making their weekly nut now. That's going to dip come September. Hall will likely bump their grosses in Nov. & Dec., but I doubt they'll stay above their nut come the winter.
Is Hall really going to be much of a draw? He's known for his viral music and videos, which doesn't necessarily translate into Broadway ticket sales or even audience overlap since they largely appeal to teenagers. He's in no way a prominent cultural "name" yet. I'd say his draw level is akin to a second-tier Broadway name.

True but bear in mind that the operative quote raising this subject claimed KB would not last until September LOL
TODRICK's casting means nothing... Remember when TAYE DIGGS forced HEDWIG to close early??
