Variety seems positive, though more of a description than anything:

Yes, thank you Jeffrey....of course, now the next step is when people want to split hairs over your assessment!

Brantley is in for NYT and quite positive:

EDIT: And, ten minutes later, is a Critic's Pick!

It's too bad he didn't give it a critics pick but that Times review is great!

That should be a critic's pick. He calls it one of the three best plays of the season.

I'm shocked it didn't get critic's pick- it's a rave review, with pull quote after pull quote.

Yeah, I'm surprised it's not a Critic's Pick too. He's pretty enthusiastic about it.

I'm thinking it's probably just an error that will be corrected soon.

It now shows up as a Critic's Pick!

"It makes no sense that it didn't get the "seal."  He adored the performances, raved about the book, and declared it to be one of the three best plays this year (only one of the others was also on Broadway -- and which DID get the CP).

Sometimes I think the copy manager forgets to add the seal.....

I really hope that they sort that out.

Seriously -- what didnt he like about it?

This makes no sense.

I loved the play and am going to see it shortly in Los Angeles at the South Coast Repertory Theatre. Thrilled it got great reviews (and the Critics Pic in the Times) and hope that bodes well for multiple Tony noms and a little more cash at the Box Office.

Happy with these reviews (for the most part)

Just hoping now that sales will pick up. Excellent cast and crew, was very pleased with the show when I saw it a few weeks ago. Was sad to see that the whole entire rear mezzanine was empty as was nearly half of the front mezzanine.

QueenAlice, did you see the Broadway production? If you did, I'd love a longer write up from you comparing the two. If I were anything but dead-broke, I'd be on the next plane to Los Angeles to see it.

Arch, smug, and smart-ass, affectedly and self-indulgently staged.

The critics raved.

What a surprise.

God, you suck, After Eight. Stop going to the theatre. Please. Spoiler alert: it's not going to get any better for you.

Anyway, congrats to the cast and crew on very well-earned raves. It wasn't totally my cup of tea, but the idea was interesting and the acting was uniformly excellent, particularly Metcalf and Houdyshell.

"God, you suck"

Why? Because I tell it like it Is? You should be thankful that at least someone does. Or perhaps you can only thrive in your own little imaginary bubble. Well then, sorry to burst it for you, but things are what they are, whether you like it or not.

Oh, and also, try cleaning up your language.

"Stop going to the theatre."

Sorry, your command is not my wish.

Anyone know why Jesse Green hasn't posted a review for NY Magazine?

Yes, darling, you're the be-all-end-all of theatre criticism. As After Eight says, so shall it be. What a joke. Look, I know you're just trolling everyone because I can't imagine why someone who clearly has such inherent distaste for the state of American theatre would go to the theatre so regularly, but must you come onto a thread of people celebrating the positive notices of a play they enjoyed and piss in its Cheerios? Vile. Just vile.

And as for my language, I'll keep it nice and dirty just for you, sweetness.

Uh, look at the title of this thread: "A Doll's House, Part 2 Reviews." My post was a commentary on those reviews. So you can now eat your Cheerios unspoiled. Bon appétit.

That I can believe, unfortunately.
