My current season in Jacksonville has Hamilton for the first time.  Even with Hamilton, the subscriptions didn't sell out.  When the individual tickets for Hamilton go on sale, I am sure those seats will sell.  We have our second show of the season this week, Rent, and there are tons of empty seats. I bought the subscription this time and with 5 shows, second orchestra, it was still only $260.  I just don't think having Hamilton got them the sales they were looking for.

Ours end up being $671 per ticket for the season so if we get 4 shows that will be $167 per show (we are in the centre in row 12)

Where are you seeing your price? Is it online now?

I can't find a price when I log into my account for next season.

$167 Canadian per show for orchestra seats is pretty good - as long as they are good shows. That's what ? About $125 US? I paid more than that to see Mrs Doubtfire down in Seattle last month.

I have a feeling I may not renew my subscription, and instead get single tickets to anything I'm interested in.

$671CAN goes a long way towards return airfare to NY to see new shows with their original cast's.

But that also only gets you maybe 2 mezz seats to something like Hadestown in NY.

I got an email with the price breakdown of the 4 payments of my renewal. Added all 4 payments up and divided it by three.

It appears that the promo photos used for Pretty Woman on the Broadway in Baltimore page are not of the original Broadway cast but of unknown people in cosutmes... this makes me think the tour will be non-equity as I know non-equity tours are not permitted to use Broadway production photos for promotional materials...

@bwayphreak234, those picture used for the Hippodrome from Pretty Woman are from the Hamburg production.

I'm trying to decide if I want to resubscribe for next year, and I think it hinges on whether Anastasia is going to be non-Equity.  Does anyone have confirmation on that yet?  This year Broadway SJ gave us Waitress non-Equity, and after seeing Christine Dwyer and the Equity tour in SF the prior year it was very apparent how much quality was sacrificed when going non-union.  While the Jenna was fine and showed potential to get her card some day, others in the cast song off-key and had the wrong comic timing.  I know Charlie is already non-Equity, but I saw Anastasia in SF last year so I don't think I can handle watching another sub-par tour in comparison.  Honestly, Broadway by the Bay in Redwood City is an amateur theater group that offers more talent on stage than some of these non-union shows for a fraction of what Broadway SJ charges.

Not a ton I'm personally interested in, with the exception of 1776 pre-Broadway. I went back and Googled that production, and it looks like they're "touring" a number of cities before Broadway next spring. Excited to hear about the casting!

Interesting that Tootsie is going to San Jose, which I assume means they won't go to San Francisco in the near future. (The majority of equity tours seem to hit San Francisco in their first year or two, and then San Jose later down the line).

The email says it will be the largest season ever, 14 weeks. I assume Hamilton will be at least 2 of those weeks. Haha

Really excited for Indy this year, last season was really good with Hamilton, Come From Away, and Anastasia.  Gives me hope for this one.  Crossing my fingers for Hadestown, but I'm guessing it'll probably just hit Chicago.

I’m cautiously optimistic for Indy’s season too. Historically they haven’t had a strong subscriber base. I’m hoping the current season added a lot of new subscribers. We usually do not get a tour in its first year so Hadestown may be a bit of a stretch although I’d welcome it since I saw it in NYC a few months ago and it’s one of the best shows I’ve ever seen.

Realistically I’m hoping for My Fair Lady, Mean Girls, and Dear Evan Hansen since those are all shows in their 2nd season of touring or more and we haven’t had them. We’re also overdue for a jukebox musical like The Cher Show or Ain’t Too Proud.

If Indy doesn’t have a great season I’ll look at Louisville since it’s about the same distance for me and the acoustics are much better than the Murat. If both seasons are great then I’ll be over the moon!

Minus Mean Girls since we have that in a few weeks here, I’m hoping Boston’s lineup is similar to this. Add The Prom instead and I’d be super happy :)

With all the tours announced I'm wondering if a lot of current tours are ending. Miss Saigon, Aladdin, Phantom of the Opera, Les Miserables, Hello Dolly, and Beautiful haven't been in any new season announcements that I've seen. I was hoping to see Miss Saigon and Hello Dolly in my city before the tours end. I think I've seen more new tours announced this year than any other year I can remember which is exciting! I can only hope that Indy and Louisville have great seasons like Dallas and Baltimore!
