C'mon Broadway transfer...
Not likely, I know. But good for Raul!
I totally read that as "Raul Esparza to star in Doyle's Sweeney".lol The playbill article, I mean. Silly Betty reads too fast.

I'm not missing this. I adore John Doyle's work. My question is, is this gonna be like Sweeney? If so, what instrument is Raul gonna play?
Oh, I am so there. I wouldn't miss this for the world. I guess I know what I'm doing this year for Spring Break!
I doubt it'll be set in a madhouse, like Sweeney, but the instrument/actor concept should be similar.

This should be awesome. I saw Raúl in Caberet and he was great. I would like to see in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang but I am not sure if I will get the chance. He is an amazing singer and actor.

I had just about convinced myself that Cincinnati is too far to go just to see Company, but now I think I'll have to go.

YESS!!!!
FINALLY living in Ohio payed off...
except for the fact that living in Cleveland makes Cincinatti 5 hours away...
Ah well, totally worth the drive for Raul! and Company!
-Feste from "Twelfth Night"
raul and company yeah. the concept if like sweeney ..p.u.
blub blub blub,
books flight to Cincy.
I am so excited about Company in this format. It seems to fit the show very, very well.
Who is playing Joanne? *dreams*
(Thanks Yoda)
Someone go visit Emcee...I think she may have imploded. This may be the reason for her lack of posting in this thread.
I love how the dates are so perfect: it opens right after my birthday (hello present!) and during my spring break! I'm there!
Well I can't say for sure, but I think she's been in class since this thread was started and either has not read the news or had a chance to process it.
*squeezes hand* Em, I'm here for you. Just remember the amazing experiences we have living in NY and the people we get to interact with and...Julia's still here??
Raul will make a terrific Robert.
I really wonder if John Doyle is going to do this with every Sondheim show ever.
If he does, good for us singing actors who play instruments! :)

Am I crazy for saying that I think this casting is VERY strange? I don't see Raul as Bobby in the least bit.
Aaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!
This is such great news! I cant wait for this revival.
