My parents mostly bought things they could find in stores, and even if they knew where to look for cast recordings...well, they don't understand why there's a difference between an original vs revival recording/London vs Broadway/cast recording vs film soundtrack. They ask for a list of things they can find and understand and then get things off that list. The only thing I got that could be Broadway-related was an iTunes card which I used to buy the Young Frankenstein OBCR and...I can't decide. I generally just buy my own Broadway-related stuff.
