I'm not really sure how this works (either here or in sports), but it seems like each pairing consists of:
• One well-known & (at least somewhat) popular show
• Another more obscure or less loved one.
What exactly is the point if the questions are front-loaded to have one ALWAYS get more responses than the other?

Posted: 3/5/08 at 10:46pmJP ~ I don't know the way this is done here, but in basketball, the rankings are based on records for the season. And yes, sometimes there is a CLEAR favorite (1st seed vs. 16th seed) while other times it's VERY close (8th seed vs. 9th seed)

• Street Corner... (obscure) vs. Victor Victoria (Julie Andrews + movie connection)
• Once/Island (fairly obscure) vs. Side Show (gradual big cult hit)
• Miss Saigon (blockbuster) vs. Red Shoes (notorious bomb)
• Anna Kar. (not huge) vs. Sunset Blvd. (ALW, Close, classic movie, record presale)
• Aspects/Love (somewhat respected Webber show) vs. Those/Days (not sure)
• Noise/Funk (crossover hit) vs. Marlene (somewhat obscure)
• Scarlet Pimpernel (not a bomb, famous novel) vs. Capeman (big bomb)
• Blood Brothers (cult hit in UK, US tour, etc.) vs Grand Night/Singing (not sure)
The winners almost all seem pretty obvious. Maybe I'm just missing the point...
(And maybe my partner's out of town and I'm kinda bored.)
