N2N has shown an increase in its total gross and its average ticket price EVERY SINGLE WEEK since it opened. I can only assume that word of mouth is driving this wonderful trend.

Doesn't summer feel nice?

Will Mary Stuart make it all the way through its scheduled closing? I hope so, but a 3-hour historical drama is a bit of a tough sell for the sunny months.

Hopefully Avenue Q's numbers will be up with its closing announced.

Has anyone estimated the running costs of N2N?

"You can't overrate Bernadette Peters. She is such a genius. There's a moment in "Too Many Mornings" and Bernadette doing 'I wore green the last time' - It's a voice that is just already given up - it is so sorrowful. Tragic. You can see from that moment the show is going to be headed into such dark territory and it hinges on this tiny throwaway moment of the voice." - Ben Brantley (2022) "Bernadette's whole, stunning performance [as Rose in Gypsy] galvanized the actors capable of letting loose with her. Bernadette's Rose did take its rightful place, but too late, and unseen by too many who should have seen it" Arthur Laurents (2009) "Sondheim's own favorite star performances? [Bernadette] Peters in ''Sunday in the Park,'' Lansbury in ''Sweeney Todd'' and ''obviously, Ethel was thrilling in 'Gypsy.'' Nytimes, 2000

I'm hopin that good numbers at Avenue Q help it extend... or even switch it back to an open ended run like the London cast. Cant see it happening though with the photo shoot of the final cast, they seem pretty cert that their time is finished... sad re: Broadway Grosses: Week Ending 6/28

Although I'm bummed about Irena's Vow closing, it looks like a lot of people went to see it in its final days.
