I know we're excited about 30 Rock returning, but I really don't think that was ever in doubt.
What was in doubt was the status of quite possibly the finest network television drama of the last decade.
So new episodes will air in the fall on Direct TV's entertainment channel and then on NBC in early '09.
Anyone else thrilled about this? I'm so glad this show is coming back and I truly hope that it gets a bigger audience, but if not it will probably go down as the most critically acclaimed network tv drama... ever?
people watch this show????? I've honestly not met a single person that watches Friday Night Lights.
I just got the First Season on Dvd last week because I heard that the show was good, I had no idea but its the best drama on tv. I hate football, but I can't get enough of this show.

One of the best shows on TV. Everything top-notch...the writing, acting, direction....Well, this past season was not as good, but it's still a bright spot on the tube....
I love this show so much. I particularly love Connie Britton and Kyle Chandler. It is one of the best shows on television.
Yes, Liverpool. About 6.5 million people watch this Peabody winning drama. Hands down, the best drama I've ever seen on network television. It sometimes leaves me breathless.
Ooo. Yay. I only tuned in once to watch the guys strip, but I liked the rest of the episode too.
And several Dallas-based actors breathe a collective sigh of relief; as do I! I am glad they are still employed!
I am so thrilled! The best drama series on television. I can't believe it's been ruthlessly ignored by the Emmys. The show is breathtaking and has reduced me to tears more than once. The preformances are so believable. And on more than one occasion, I've been surprised by seeing an old friend pop up as a minor character on the show. I can't wait to see more.
Bumping this old thread for a funny Broadway connection....
Just watched the latest episode of FNL (at least latest on NBC) where Jason and Riggins go to NYC. I just had to crack up at how enthusiastic Riggins was about going to see "Gypsy". Granted, he thought it would have strippers, but it still made me laugh....

oh awesome... i love this show and wished more people watched it... so smartly written and acted.. kyle chandler and connie britton are perfect and their chemistry is amazing... i know most of the cast are leaving because they are seniors... so the only students really left are landry (who is awesome) and julie.... and possibly that JD kid... i don't have direct tv so i don't know how the season finale is... SO DON'T RUIN IT PEOPLE!
Yeah, I love this show too.....
Isn't Landry a senior, like Matt? Julie's only a junior, but I thought Landry was a senior.
Is it awful that every time I look at JD I want him to call to Tinkerbell and fly away?

Landry's a junior- you don't really find out till the last episode though, haha.

yeah... every time i see JD i always think Peter Pan... haha
I don't think the senior class characters will necessarily leave the show after they graduate. The ones who stay in town will probably continue to be featured on the show for a while. Does anyone know if it was picked up for a fourth season? I would hate to see this wonderful show go.
Ohmigod I could cry with relief! Do you know if they are they doing 12 again or more episodes?
I. Love. This. Show.
This season has been outstanding. Okay. well they all have been but since the episode when Smash heads off to college which had me cheering, crying, laughing and screaming....I go in every week thinking they can't do better and then they do!
