Sorry, but I am so excited for him. Even though we don't know what studio, he got into Tisch for drama! At this point- the studio doesn't matter because the opportunity to go to school in New York is just amazing! He has worked really hard all through high school and deserves this. I just hope finanical aid comes through! Thank you all for indulging me!
Congrats to him!! You have reason to be proud!
Congratulations! Great news for him - all the best!
Cnongratulations, supportingmom, I love your screenname and I love this thread. You said your son worked hard for it and it's so nice to see it paid off. I just recently got accepted into a grad program and to hear the pride in my mom's voice when I told her was priceless for me, so I can only imagine how happy your son must be that you're so proud of him, congratulations to you both!

Well done.
Congratulations!
Congratulations are in order supportivemom. This is great news. I wish your son much success! You must be so proud!
Congrats to him AND congrats to you for raising a son who knows the value of working hard to achieve his dreams! You both have every right to beam with pride.
Thanks everyone! When I was in high school- I was obsessed with musicals but I didn't even get to Broadway until I was 41! My husband and I chaperoned a school trip to NY. Since then, my son has been to NY 3 more times and he's going back this summer with his sister to see 13 shows! Yes, I am seriously proud of him! He has been looking at colleges since he was in elementary school and he has obsessed over his grades throughout high school. He is # 3 in his class! He's also currently preparing for a production of The Laramie Project (which has been targeted by Rev. Phelps for a boycott). My dad was born in Brooklyn and raised in the Bronx. I think my son is my dad's mini-me. NYU is a perfect match for artistic kids who also pride themselves in academics. I actually see some excitement in my son and that makes me very happy. Thanks again for indulging me! Ray- congrats on grad school! I know your mom is very proud!
You should be proud. Sounds like an amazing kid.

Wonderful news, and your pride is, as well!
"my son gets all the credit- he did all the work"
I'll go along with that, if you accept that your son is who he is at least partially because of your work
Congrats to your son, SM!!!!
