God must be planning a revival of the Gingerbread Lady. First Bea, then Dom.
so sad to see him go.
I have great memories of him in "The Muppet Movie" Robin Hood: Men in tights" doing that horribly wonderful Brando accent, and Blazing Saddles.
He'll be missed.
Oh my God, I literally gasped out loud. What a shame. He and my godfather were good friends back when they were kids and he once wrote me a very sweet letter asking me to give my godfather his regards. Rest in peace.

This is sad.
Very sad. I don't mean this to be nasty. I did think he was dead already . I don't know why. My condolences. He was a very talented man.
I fell really bad about this---he was wonderfully funny, and had such a contagious laugh! He will be missed!!!
Oh, dear...
When I was living and working in NY there was a big event going on at Radio City -- I think it might have been Night of 100 stars. I walked past there early that day just as Dom Deluise got out of his car. People started cheering, and he turned right around with a big smile on his face acknowledging the crowd.
He was great in Robin Hood Men in Tights.

What was the name of that movie he made with Burt Reynolds about suicide? Now, I'll have to go look it up.
THE END.
I just love his chemistry with Burt Reynolds. The two looked they had so much fun making movies. You just don't see that anymore.I would love to hear what Burt and Mel Brooks have to say. Hopefully they will share some fun stories.
That's it. I haven't seen it since it first came out in the 70s, but I did like it. I think I went twice.
Loved him! A long time ago at a casino in Atlantic City, I went into one of the bars, sat down and he was sitting to my right. We chatted a bit. Very nice guy. May he rest in peace.

Johnboy2- Fatso was my all time favorite too!!! I loved Dom in anything he did, but History of the World and Fatso more than his other films.
Dominick DiNapoli: Give me those keys or I'll cut you down to your balls!
Frankie: Dom, what's happening to you? Don't you remember? "Da, da, da, da"?
Dominick DiNapoli: "Da, da, da, da" your ass! Give me those keys!
Dominick DiNapoli: [to Frankie] You know what your problem is, Junior? You don't know how to run your plate. See? You gotta make the bread come out even with the eggs.
Honestly, I really had thought that he was already dead!!!!!! Like back in 1995 or something.
I will remember him for all of his voice-over work, like in "All Dogs Go to Heaven", "An American Tail" and "The secret of NIMH".
Now those were some gritty cartoons!!!!!!

His one truly brilliant performance was in Mel Brook's least-known masterpice, THE TWELVE CHAIRS.
Please also note the ridiculously good-looking young Frank Langella.
