You're reminding me of people you hear at the movies asking questions every ten seconds, "Who is that? Why is that guy walking down the street? Who's that lady coming up to him? Uh-oh, why did that car go by? Why is it so dark in this theater?" - FindingNamo on strummergirl
"If artists were machines, then I'm just a different kind of machine...I'd probably be a toaster. Actually, I'd be a toaster oven because they're more versatile. And I like making grilled cheese" -Regina Spektor
"That's, like, twelve shows! ...Or seven." -Crazy SA Fangirl
"They say that just being relaxed is the most important thing [in acting]. I take that to another level, I think kinda like yawning and...like being partially asleep onstage is also good, but whatever." - Sherie Rene Scott
While being questioned, Braxton told police the victim on the couch was a "shrine from God" and was actually her own body. She later told police that the victim had been shot in the eye for not believing in God.
Hours after gun-rights advocate Jamie Gilt bragged on Facebook that her 4-year-old son “gets jacked up to target shoot,” the same child accidentally turned his mother into a target, shooting her in the back.
I am sick, I have so many good friends who live in Orlando. My prayers go out to the victims, their friends and family and to the entire GBLT community of Orlando.
I'm thinking about those Puerto Rican mothers in Orlando, whose sons and daughters went out dancing to celebrate Latino Pride. Maybe they had trouble accepting their children because of their Catholicism, maybe they never accepted them and now they feel guilty, maybe they accepted them from the beginning. But now they're dead, and those mothers are grieving

Sure, we could do that. Or we could take our time to observe all of the factors that led to that horrific event and then draw some rational conclusions. Or I guess we could just be lame internet trolls who say dumb s*** like that.

Obviously there were many factors involved - but let's not ignore that Islam (along with other religions or social attitudes) should be criticised for their role in this shooting. Any institution that promotes negative attitudes towards homosexuality is implicated in this shooting. I'm tired of people claiming to avoid 'islamophobia' in a time like this. Now is exactly the time we should be standing up and telling people we won't stand for these attitudes that have, along with other factors, led to the death of 49 innocent individuals.
"You can't overrate Bernadette Peters. She is such a genius. There's a moment in "Too Many Mornings" and Bernadette doing 'I wore green the last time' - It's a voice that is just already given up - it is so sorrowful. Tragic. You can see from that moment the show is going to be headed into such dark territory and it hinges on this tiny throwaway moment of the voice." - Ben Brantley (2022)
"Bernadette's whole, stunning performance [as Rose in Gypsy] galvanized the actors capable of letting loose with her. Bernadette's Rose did take its rightful place, but too late, and unseen by too many who should have seen it" Arthur Laurents (2009)
"Sondheim's own favorite star performances? [Bernadette] Peters in ''Sunday in the Park,'' Lansbury in ''Sweeney Todd'' and ''obviously, Ethel was thrilling in 'Gypsy.'' Nytimes, 2000
^ Well said. I'm particularly proud of homosexual muslims who are finally starting to speak out against the horrendous treatment of LGBT+ community members in the Islamic faith.
