Fwah. The AP test was...relatively easy.
Hey, you mean Eng. lang. & comp. by "lang." right? I took that one today as well.

So AP Euro's still offered? In my high school, my class was the last class that was given the option of choosing between Euro and World. I took Euro, but I had to take the World regents. After my year, my high school discontinued offering Euro so now in 10th grade you can only take AP World.
Euro was difficult at first. It was hard to get through the chapters, and I remember having difficulty almost deciphering it. My teacher was okay, someone you love, but not necessarily the greatest teacher. But anyway, between my own motivation and it getting a bit easier, and the Princeton Review book, I got a 4 on it, and am thrilled I got to take it instead of World.
But I took U.S. in 11th grade, and I found that *much* easier. The course, the material, the tests, and the AP itself.
AP lang scared me because I did *awful* on the multiple choice questions we practiced with. But I think an essay saved me that year to get me to a 4--we had to argue for or against entertainment. I wrote 6 pages on why it's good--then realized I had 20 minutes to write my argument analysis. If there wasn't a time limit, I could have easily made the argument 12 pages.

A bunch of people at my school took the AP Lang. and Comp. test today. I didn't get a chance to ask anyone how it was though. In all of my classes I'm just average, so I don't think I'll ever take an AP class. Not even AP spanish.

I took AP Euro in my sophomore year of high school and AP US in my junior year (my high school didn't offer World History - because we were located on a college campus and everyone had to take actual college courses senior year, the AP selection was pretty limited). I got a 5 on both exams, but found US to be easier as it covered a much smaller period of time.
I just got back from my last class of the year. Now all that's left are finals. No more papers or group projects or calculus homeworks to deal with - at least until September :-P

It's really kind of amazing how much the AP programs vary by year from school to school. I know a lot of people who took Euro as sophmores, for example, but I could *only* take it as a senior.
I wonder why that is.

School's still going strong for me. Finals are in mid-June, but until then, it's work, work, work.

At my high school, you could take Euro as an elective senior year, but they strongly recommended taking it in lieu of the sophomore year of Global History if you had good enough grades to get into the class. AP US was only offered as an alternative to regular Regents-level US History - you couldn't take it as an elective senior year even if you wanted to.

I'd kind of like to take classes over the summer, because it's probably a little more relaxed and... I don't like having nothing to do, but it's absurdly expensive.

I took AP Euro as a sophomore. I signed up for AP US this year, but unfortunately, there weren't enough people who signed up to make even one full class. Collectively, my school is a bit dim.

I was considering taking a couple of classes over the summer, but my parents said absolutely no way because my scholarships wouldn't apply to summer courses. They're only letting me dorm in the city over the summer because I'll be paying for part of it out of my paycheck.

Summer classes here are weird, because you pay by the credit, as opposed to the way it works out during the year. Of course, during the year they push me to take a lot of credits so they get their money's worth.

Sorry for the threadjack:
Does anyone know who the next Roger is going to be when Tim leaves in July? I just got tickets for August, and I'm curious as to who his replacement will be. If it's unknown yet, when do they usually announce new cast members?
Also, did Matt Caplan leave yet, or is he leaving soon? I'm kinda out of the loop, and I hear so many different things that I can't keep it all straight.

I passed out during the essay portion of my AP Psych exam. I got really bad a papercut trying to open my essay booklet and the teachers didn't have a bandaid or tissue or anything, so I fainted from the blood loss. I still got a 4.

... they couldn't like, go get you a bandaid?
I'm clumsy, so I get tons of paper cuts. Once, I got one on my tongue. No joke.
