Interesting Harry Potter will close in Chicago on February 1st and open in LA on February 13th. Curious if that will be their standard turnaround time.

Is… Sweeney still supposed to tour? I’d love to see it but probably won’t get to NYC by the time it (presumably) closes, and it’s not been announced for any of the more major touring houses… starting to think it ain’t happening.

My thoughts as well. Maybe a launch of the Sweeney Todd tour, if it happens. They could also get the MAMMA MIA anniversary tour, that's played the Ahmanson a few times in the past! CTG also loves to produce new shows and bring in exclusives from other theaters, so I'm expecting a few unique additions.

Mamma Mia was just at the Pantages in Nov and Dec 2023.

Season subscriber. Excited for all except MJ ... the bio-jukebox musicals have been my least fav shows. MJ isn't my style of music. Otherwise, seems like a solid lineup. Come From Away is an add-on and subscribers can opt out of Lion King since it has been through Baltimore previously and get refund.

Some Like it Hot: September 17-22, 2024 (Tech and Launch)
MJ: December 3-8, 2024
Parade: January 11-17, 2025 (Tech and Launch)
Life of Pi: February 18-23, 2025
Shucked: March 18-23, 2025
Funny Girl: April 1-6, 2024
Beauty and the Beast: June 17-26, 2025 (Tech and Launch)
Add-Ons:
Hadestown: October 11-13, 2024 (1st year Non-equity tour, return engagement)
Come From Away: March 14-16, 2025 (2nd year non-equity tour, return engagement)
Clue: May 2-4, 2025 (I don't know what Clue is touring as next spring)
2 things to note toward the end of the current season:
Back to the Future techs at Proctors, with 3 previews June 6-8, 2024, with tech load-in starting roughly May 13th. This means we should expect a cast announcement for the tour right around Tony nomination week, if not the week before, and will likely see some performance footage of the touring cast at the Spring Road Conference in May before they head upstate to tech the show.
The equity tour of Tina closes at Proctors July 30-August 4, 2024, in advance of the non-equity tour launching in the fall.
Saw on Reddit that the Las Vegas season has been announced:
Mrs. Doubtfire July 30–August 4, 2024 Company August 20-25, 2024 The Cher Show September 17-22, 2024 Back to the Future October 23–November 3, 2024 Shrek the Musical November 26–December 1, 2024 Kimberly Akimbo February 4-9, 2025 The Wiz April 1-6, 2025 Hamilton May 20–June 1, 2025 Parade June 10-15, 2025 & Juliet June 24-29, 2025

Ah, yes! My mistake.
I also could see CTG snagging the KITE RUNNER tour, it's rare to have multiple plays on tour! KITE RUNNER, LIFE OF PI, & JULIET, and PARADE is a good possible start to a season!

Interesting to see Harry Potter is going to the National instead of the Kennedy Center. Someone at the KC must’ve fumbled ball there.

I absolutely concur. As a DC-area resident, I was shocked when I read that.

If any show shouldn't go non-equity, it's Hadestown.
A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.
Girl From the North Country • Oct 15 – 20, 2024 Beetlejuice • Nov 12 – 17, 2024 The Cher Show • Dec 17 – 22, 2024 & Juliet • Jan 14 – 19, 2025 MAMMA MIA! • Feb 11 – 16, 2025 Funny Girl • Mar 11 – 16, 2025 8th Show Option • Hamilton • Apr 8 – 20, 2025 The Wiz • May 13 – 18, 2025
Season Options
Elf - Dec 3 - 8, 2024
Chicago - June 10 - 15, 2024
Overall a disappointment compared to the current season. Hamilton was just here two years ago.

Subscribers were allowed to change/upgrade seats for Baltimore Hippodrome yesterday. The communications from Broadway Across America warned that Hippodrome had experiences "record-breaking" retention of season ticket holders, so don't expect many options especially on Friday night/weekends. I logged in and looked at available options and, indeed, the upgrades are thin and very thin on the weekends. Semi-surprised that they have such overwhelming retention as I personally don't consider it a particularly strong season.
I attended Peter Pan at Hippodrome this past Sunday night and it was a sell-out after they filled the last few single seats with Lucky Seat winners. Seems like theater is alive and well in Baltimore. .
Does anyone know what the point of origin for the Cursed Child tour will be? How likely would it be that they rehearse the show in Chicago?

I don’t think any of us know how “big” the tour would be but I know I’ve heard that they have a special studio in nyc to rehearse the ongoing rehearsals in nyc so I’d imagine they’d do a few weeks there then a few weeks of tech in Chicago.
Denver Center just put out a big "tease" that says "BIG Broadway Announcement Coming..." with the "&" sign behind the text. Hmm?! They are announcing it next week probably along with their season.
Interesting to see the Come From Away tour with so many one week stays. It's selling very well still and I doubt it would go back to an equity tour.
