I thought Brody sounded terrible. It could have been his mic. That's the drawback of singing live. The dancing was phenomenal. That's how you do a parade performance! Makes me want to see the show again.

Maybe pre-recorded vocals? If they are live, this would be a first. also sucks for them to sing live considering the weather.
A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.
This performance from THE OUTSIDERS is the most homoerotic wet t-shirt contest ever. Happy Thanksgiving to me, indeed. 😂
Also, everyone needs to go to Amber Iman’s Instagram story since she is doing live commentary. It’s like how Leslie Jones was so into the Olympics and it is EVERYTHING.
Not sure which bored me more, the waste of Lea Salonga singing on the Sesame Street float or Idina singing that otherwise middling song from her new tree-sical

I was literally like where is Lea for half of it. It was very disappointing.
I liked Idina’s performance tho. Thought she sounded good
Overall, I thought they were successful performances. DBH was a little lack-luster and I see what people mean about Michelle Williams not embodying the fun of that character. Fun having Hilty and Simard do the intro
They all felt big and high energy. I give major kudos to how hard they were all dancing considering the rain. I sat on my couch so stressed that someone was gonna bite it.
Regarding the live vocals...remember that they did 2 shows yesterday, probably ended their nights around 11pm and most likely had to be back at the theatre somewhere around 5:30am . Add into the mix the cold temps and the rain.

Michelle was out for quite a few performances since Sunday- so she definitely coddled her voice this week. Her understudy is fabulous!

a lot of shows altered their schedules for this week. A lot did Mon/Tue/Wed evenings, DARK today, then the five-show weekend. others just subbed out their Thursday evening for Friday matinee. It's still a brutal week for those also performing at the parade today. there were a lot of understudies on yesterday for the shows performing today as well.

I’m in the central time zone so just finished watching the three performances.
I didn’t hate the HK performance as much as I expected to based on reviews here, but like every other performance I’ve seen from the show, it left me feeling meh about the show.
It was cool seeing Hilty and Simard introduce the performance & I thought Michelle was fine, but somehow when I saw H & S introduce, I thought wow they’re going to have to hurry to get out there only to realize that was all we were going to see. Still, this was my favorite of the three performances. If I was planning a trip to NYC, I’d probably see this.
I’m still waiting to see what everyone else sees in The Outsiders. Granted, I think I’ve only seen this and the Tony Award performance, but as someone from Oklahoma this also surprisingly leaves me feeling meh. Maybe it’s much better as a complete performance rather than select songs performed out of context?
I always thought the Michelle Williams role would have been a great Broadway return for Sofia Vergara: also not a powerhouse vocalist, but she understands camp and smolder more.

I am out West so that part just showed here. I was like "Oh, thanks Cynthia". It would have been the perfect chance for her to say that there will be sing-a-long screenings.
hopefully in the next week or so i'll see WICKED in a nearly empty theater at around 1pm during the week.

HELL’S KITCHEN - It’s evident here that Camille A. Brown’s choreography is one of the stars of the show. Maleah is beyond cute but she sounded rough here, makes sense if she’s been missing some performances lately. Nice for Shoshana to get one last hurrah before she leaves the Kitchen on Sunday. And I now selfishly want Nicholas Ward to play the doorman in the near future.
DEATH BECOMES HER - She looks fabulous, but does Michelle Williams always sound this stiff? At least we got a cleverly rewritten second verse of “If You Want Perfection” and a cheeky little intro from Hilty and Simard.
THE OUTSIDERS - I do wonder how long Brody was out in the crowd journaling before their performance began. The whole company sounds great, though they simply could have just rumbled in this weather and it will have been worth it. :)
I would’ve loved to have seen Billy Porter play the Wiz in the recent revival, rather than his KINKY replacement.
Idina sounded good previewing her REDWOOD and I look forward to hearing more of what newcomer Kate Diaz has in store for us this winter.
Peep Charli D’Amelio and her fellow & JULIET ensemblist (and cutie) Jhailyn Paige Farcon dancing for T-Pain!
Quick side note, The Temptations performing “My Girl” followed by Grimace in the McDonald’s car was most definitely eye porn for anyone following this year’s Mets. (They just needed Candelita to sing “OMG”!) And congrats again to the New York Liberty on their first WNBA championship.
