Something is wrong with all the guy's make up.
Honestly, who let them walk on stage looking like that?

Posted: 4/4/07 at 8:04pmIt looks great. Much better than all the horrible high school productions of Aida I've seen.

Posted: 4/4/07 at 10:09pmCongrats on a great looking production. My only thing is why the braids??? It just looks silly but anyway.. It looks great and wow..the shirtless dudes.. How did you guys afford Uma/Ashlee in a dual role, LOL. Just kidding!

The shirtless guy is not THAT hot. A bunch of old queens going ga-ga over some High School boy. Kind of scary.
Looks like an interesting production though.

Posted: 4/5/07 at 1:30pmi kind of LOVE the way you assume that everyone that commented on the shirtless guy was an "old queen." You might be surprised how many "high school kids" are into older guys...don't sound so derogatory....

I'm neither old, nor a queen, and I think he's hot.
Looks like a fun production, with a lot of great memories!

I am not and old queen. I will be 20 in 3 months.
He is just some eye candy.

- What does a high school kid being into older men have to do with this? lol. I just thought it was creepy because some of the older members were going gaga.
And I can certainly use the word queen. I'm queer myself lol.

Posted: 4/5/07 at 6:04pm$15000? And that's a shoestring budget? Wow. I'm glad the money was well-spent on those sweet costumes (and the set, etc, but I mostly like the costumes).

Wow! Your production looks like it was a lot of fun. I wish my high school would have done shows like that.
The pictures and costumes are beautiful. Glad it was successful!

Posted: 4/5/07 at 8:30pmGenerally speaking, I don't think this is a show high schools should be doing, but wow, from your photos, the production looks better than several regional productions that've happened recently. It's not an easy show for a high school to pull off, largely because of its technical demands. Great job.

I don't think shirtless boy is Radames, guys, sorry.
I believe the asian kid with the mullet is.

and im back from california!
ive got tons of vid clips that were posted while i was gone
here is my strongest suit!
the girl playing amneris was just getting over a huge cold when she performed this...so its not her best but i think she pulls it off! maybe not every note but her presence makes up for it!
strongest suit!

How has the show been adapted to fit a high school production?
Have the notes been alterred? Songs been simplified? Anything of that nature?
I'd LOVE more than anything in the world to bring this show to my town's youth theater company... and I think we have the talent to pull it off. What is the score like? Particularly Radames... the Broadway version has him singing his face off above G's and A's.

i like it. Its pretty darn good for a high school-- and costuming 30+ people in a musical is ALWAYS a feat... ESPECIALLY when you build most of the costumes (which it looks like you did)...
Did those hot furniture moving guys actually audition, or were they some special aquisition from wrestling or the swim team or something!?! damn... my drama club never had guys that looked that good with shirts off....
well, you know... besides me...
