I agree that lots of those responses needed some xanax. Meanwhile, La Tveit has added 2 additional shows due to high demand, on 5/9 and 5/10. 54 Below sent out an email with codes for the presale tomorrow at noon. I"ll admit I'm a fan. I had the chance to meet him at MISCAST in 2009 and he was very gracious...not a diva at all.

I think a lot of the people buying tickets for this concert really have no idea what the venue is like, Yero (though I agree with you).
His tag on Tumblr is a nightmare right now, a lot of people are really acting crazy about this for no real reason. I'm almost embarrassed to say I'm a fan of his after some of their behavior.
They should have kept this 21+. There goes a nice night of music when you have to deal with screaming girls sipping cokes with their Hello Kitty bags. He should have kept it 21+. I hope he enjoys living in Rapp/Pascalville for the rest of his career.

I like Tveit, and I would've bought tickets to this show if I knew it wasn't going to be swarmed with squealing tweenage girls. The Les Mis movie, while I'm happy he was in it, only made his fanbase worse. I can't tell if it's the internet or if young fans of cute boy stars have always been this insane.
Rabid Next to Normal fans were bad enough at the Booth, now they are invading night spots. Ugh.

Probably one of the more over-rated performers on Broadway. I rather liked him in the Les Mis film (maybe because he proved to be one of the only great vocalists), but have seen him twice on Broadway and haven't been blown away by any performance. I can read his cockiness from the audience while he's performing and, while he is an attractive guy, I can't say that it sells me on his talent. Not to mention he was a tool at the stage door.

Not enough to blow me away, but he doesn't deter me from seeing a show either. Obviously just my opinion. I hope his show does well.

I recognized a few last night at 54 Below for Backstage featuring Alice Ripley and fortunately they were in the minority. She mentioned meeting her accompanist at The Booth at "that" show that was WAY behind her - so happy to hear her say that. She needs to do more shows with the Skivvies.
But back to Aaron - he is so talented and the chance to see him in such a beautiful venue is really a treat.
Will have to wait until next time...if there is one. The advance sale promo code was accepted, but I was never able to actually buy a ticket. I'll tell myself that it would've been a miserable night with a bunch of girls that would've just annoyed me and my hubby.

Okay, two things: 1. 54 Below is not normally 21+ for the concerts. I have been to quite a few concerts there and I usually see a few young people with their parents, or alone. I have also been just for a drink after the shows (back when they still did the Green Room) and that was not 21+ either (although, of course, people who were underage could not order drinks).
2. Adam Pascal has had two sold-out concerts at 54 Below and his fans were nowhere near as crazy as Tveit's are acting now. The crowd was older (I'd say 25-40) and very respectful. Rapp and Pascal may have had screaming teenagers as their fanbase 15 years ago, but to still put them and their fans in that category is actually kind of insulting.

There's no tickets to be had. Im also kind of glad in hindsight that I got shut out. the fury of the rabid fans makes me sick.
However 54 Below totalled screwed up the presale. They'll never do that again. It's crazy to offer a presale on a venue with 150 seats. Just stick to regular on sale dates and every man for themselves.

Yero, I saw Rapp and Pascal last Spring in a theatre and the nutbags ruined the concert. They probably couldn't pay 54 Below prices, but they are alive and well. The shrieking, trying to talk to Anthony and Adam from the audience, etc. They are a sad lot.

Maybe I'm very naive, but isn't it difficult to scalp tickets for 54 Below shows because you don't get a physical ticket?
When I see the phrase "the ____ estate", I imagine a vast mansion in the country full of monocled men and high-collared women receiving letters about productions across the country and doing spit-takes at whatever they contain.

Bettyboy, that's sad. I'm sorry they ruined your experience. I have never been able to see them in concert together, so maybe that is why my experience has been different, but I have seen each of them solo a few times, and every time has been a standard concert experience, with a respectful, engaged audience. Enthusiastic, but not obnoxious.

They don't check ID when you give your name at the door, so I'd imagine it would actually be easier to scalp than a ticketed show. Maybe they will change their policy for this concert (actually, I would suggest that they should).

Good point. Although a problem they could run into is teenagers whose parents bought the tickets but are not going.
