Exactly. I hope that's what they're thinking. Not that many fans don't already worship the OBC to an uncomfortable degree, but maybe this can take some of the edge off.
Slightly OT: Did Odom perform for the Clintons Saturday night? Not in the photos. Or was he in his dressing room, feeling the spurn.
If not, here's here with Daveed and Hillary.

Great point and the likely the smart choice...The show needs to remain the star...

Not to be "That Guy", but...
EDIT:
I did suggest as much on post #15 of this thread.
Totally a guess, tbh. Based on "clues" provided by the OP. I'd love to see him do it, though.

Throwing out a guess and hoping you're right is not "calling" it. If you had said, it will be Daniel Breaker and you ended up being right? That would be "calling" it. FYI - there's a huge difference.

It's not Daniel Breaker.
LH makes a good point, original post edited in response. And, I guess I was wrong anyway...

Dear Lord. Someone is replacing Leslie as Aaron Burr. We'll find out who it is soon enough,

Where's the OP to post more "clues"? I know for sure (or 99% sure) it's not Daniel Breaker because of a BOM source. Though I could see him playing the role at some point. Pretty brilliant casting.
Maybe OP disappeared because we've guessed everyone except the correct person (who is OP's friend, so that might be embarrassing.)
i find it a little strange that Phillipa and Leslie's last show is in 4 days and they haven't announced their replacements.

I agree with gypsy, it's a little strange.
They made a point of announcing Javier, even though it was a forgone conclusion.
Guess they are planning to go with the "show is the star" approach that was mentioned earlier in the thread.
And then updating the cast page on time and not two weeks late will actually matter!

I saw the show Sunday with understudies on for Burr, Eliza, and Lafayette/Jefferson. The wild entrance applause for the OBC vs crickets for the understudies made me really appreciate why it's good for the show that some of the principals are moving on.

entrance applause? You mean like when the first show up in the opening number?

Has Leslie done ANY matinees in the past few months? Jeez.

I saw it a couple of weeks ago for the second time. The first song was pretty much drowned out by the applause as each character entered the stage. It's nice to feel the love but for those that don't know the song it's pretty much lost. And that's a pity because it basically sets up the entire story. "

I also agree this seems strange. I would've thought we would by now. Rory was announced two weeks before Groff's departure.
They're doing that at every show now...? That's ridiculous.
there is nothing strange here. Someone has explained everything that is supposedly strange. What's on display here is what's usually on display here: a bunch of self-entitled people freaking out. No one cares that you don't know who is going to go on next week. Or this week. Or next year. Or in Chicago, London or Topeka Kansas in 2020.

Yes, he was there when I saw the matinee June 22nd.
The entrance applause also occurred, but I assumed that was because all remaining members of the original cast were present, so people were excited.

mm when I saw the show in November people clapped but you could still hear most of what was being said. It wasn't excessive.

I was just talking with a friend about how annoying it must be to see the show nowadays as someone going in without knowing the score or the story. Everyone around you is singing along or going nuts about certain actors or just generally going beserk.

Was there on Sunday as well and notice the disparity between the entrance applause. It felt a little awkward when the understudies came out to near silence after huge applause for original cast members. The only original who didn't get the applause (that I noticed) was Renee as she kind of comes on stage in the middle of the number without a good place for applause.
