And the new Aaron Burr is.....Here are the clues. Can you guess who? — Page 6

Donald is actually playing Hänschen in the Kickstarter funded tour of "Spring Awakening" - he won't have time to do both.

And every day that passes in the musical, she'd would explain the significance of whatever day it is (be it ginger snap day or flip flop day or whatever weird thing it is). #PartyWithPatti

Nathan Lane as Burr.

ok, the cleverness has now officially hit rock bottom.

What happened to the OP? I feel like Joshua Henry has been the suggestion for the entire life of this thread, and the OP has disappeared and given us no feedback on whether that guess is correct, leading me to believe that it is him, and the OP didn't think we would guess it this quickly (which HogansHero did already insinuate earlier in the thread). OP! Is it Joshua Henry?

My guess is that the OP realized that s/he had spoken out of turn, even as a blind item. Since the producers obviously know the source, the net effect of the post is that the source has been embarrassed by blabbing about an announcement that producers spend a lot of time strategizing about the timing of.

^I don't think the timing in this situation matters. The show is sold out till forever and everyone wants to see it. Casting Henry or whoever isn't going to matter at the box office.
Posted: 7/2/16 at 3:18pm
Either way, it's a week away and no announcement? Is that normal?
Posted: 7/2/16 at 3:33pm
@Tag, of course the timing matters. The #1 error a producer can make is assuming that something doesn't matter. Everything matters always, and controlling the narrative definitely matters. The show is at a critical long term moment when framing its future without its iconic "stars" could define perceptions for years. It's a big mistake to think the producers are not looking beyond your definition of "forever."
@Hellob, again it is about controlling the narrative. Presumably, the show will run on current understudies until the newbies are put in. In Henry's case at least, that's the better part of a month away. I expect an announcement or maybe even a press conference after the 4th.

Joshua Henry would be incredible! Oh my goodness I would love to see him.

Sorry, they probably meant Diane Lane, not Nathan Lane.

The OP could have also been full of it...

I don't think so, it's possible that we are guessing the wrong SA actor but I think the announcement would have come if it wasn't someone who is currently tied up. I think Hogan is right about how it's going to play out.

I don't think op has much respect for this board (the superior way he said people on this board are "sooooooooo obsessed with Hamilton, it's entertaining," as if he's better than us). I doubt he will return.
Posted: 7/2/16 at 7:48pm
I guess history would truly be made of Josh Hemry was in both Shuffle and Hamilton at the same time. So I guess we can squash that rumor right now.
Posted: 7/2/16 at 7:59pm
or maybe an understudy will play the role until Shuffle Along closes!
Posted: 7/2/16 at 8:03pm
No offensive but to the OP: Why did you start this? It's not like your gonna tell anyone even if you do know.
Posted: 7/2/16 at 8:11pm
Who suggested he'd be in both at the same time? The closest I think anyone said was in rehearsal for Hamilton, while performing in Shuffle. That's doable and not unheard of.

"That's doable and not unheard of."
and expected.

Maybe Titus Andromedon got the job after all?
Posted: 7/3/16 at 12:02am
The above Nathan Lane suggestion .... OMG I'd pay 1k (*cue Mr Roxy's tirade) to watch Nathan Lane as King George The Third one day.

In all seriousness, a short sketch of Titus Andromedon auditioning for Hamilton would be gold.

Marcus Paul James not only rehearsed but went on in In the Heights during the end of the run of Rent on Broadway. I recall him doing a matinee at one show and the evening at the other. Same producers so it wasn't a problem, and I'm sure the pay was great.
Anyway, Joshua Henry would be profound in the role.
