Anyone hear any rumblings about when tix will go on sale? (I guess they’d need some semblance of a “seating plan” first). Telecharge has a place holder established on their site, but no indication of an on sale date yet.
p.s. - They’re indicating a run time of 90 minutes.
Here's a peek of the white model of the set design by David Korins. Appears to show the stage extending out into the audience with some seats surrounding it. Hard to get a GREAT sense of it from here, but I'm suddenly more excited.
So the Public set up, but stadium seating on one end with parts of the audiences moving around like Off Broadway? Wonder how they will price those tickets.
I wonder if they are doing some amount of additional stadium seating leading up to the mezz like Holler If You Hear Me did at the Palace (in addition to the onstage or standing seats)? It looks like there might be a couple rows of seats along the side of the thrust too, but I can't quite tell from this.
We should learn more in the next 6 weeks or so, since previews start June 17. They'll want to get this thing on sale as soon as they can solidify (or...mostly solidify) a seating chart.

I could certainly be wrong, but it looks like at the very beginning of the clip you can see the curved edge of the front of the mezzanine, so I think it will just be normal mezz seating.
Perhaps Ruthie is wise for not doing HLL. She did it 10 years ago. Things are different now. There is a chance of controversy since she is Korean and NOT of Filipino descent. There could be huge backlash, especially from the Filipino community. It is a choice part that doesn’t come often. Perhaps they should cast it properly. Maybe she knows that and doesn’t want to get “cancelled”.
If they are looking for a new Imelda I still think Eva Noblezada would be brilliant. And has some name recognition that I think would at least get theater people excited.
We are overjoyed to announce that @conradricamora & @thejosellana will be reprising their roles as Ninoy Aquino & Ferdinand Marcos respectively in #HereLiesLoveBway! 🙌🤩🪩 They’ve got a special message for you to let you know that tickets for Here Lies Love go on sale Monday, March 27. Help us give them a warm welcome in the comments below! 🕺💃💜

I think she is very wise, not for fear of being cancelled but trying to recreate that lightning in a bottle. She was a force of nature in a small show that became a happening. That journey was probably very thrilling and satisfying but she completed that arc. She has since won a Tony, survived tragedy, and been on a TV series. She's a very spiritual person and I'm not sure how going back to that piece would serve her.
I'd love for a voluptuous woman to be cast as Imelda. Even young, she was buxom.
"The sexual energy between the mother and son really concerns me!"-random woman behind me at Next to Normal
"I want to meet him after and bang him!"-random woman who exposed her breasts at Rock of Ages, referring to James Carpinello
I believe she still suffers from long Covid, and was out quite a bit when she did Moulin Rouge. It wouldn’t shock me if Alex Timbers has asked Natalie Mendoza about reprising Imelda.

Ruthie was offered the role. The team was even considering altering the start date in order to get her signed on. She is absolutely still capable of doing it, stamina was not a factor in turning it down. You do have to pay people what they're worth however...

Sorry, MayAudraBlessYou2. My reply was about Natalie and not Ruthie.

Natalie was perfection in Moulin Rouge when she was there. I'm glad this gem of a show is coming back to New York. I hope it's a smash hit out the gate.
Lea Salonga Joins the Cast & Producing Team of HERE LIES LOVE. Salonga will appear in the show for five weeks from Tuesday, July 11 through Sunday, August 13 [which does coincide with the show's opening but not its start of previews]. She will perform "Just Ask The Flowers," sung by the character of Aurora Aquino - mother of Benigno "Ninoy" Aquino, whose assassination ignited the People Power Revolution that ousted Ferdinand and Imelda Marcos from power. After her five-week run, guest stars from the Philippines will take over the role.
I thought she was joining as Imelda for a second! Lea Salonga joining the show for five weeks as Aurora Aquino - mother of Benigno "Ninoy" Aquino. Then the role will be cast with a variety of talent from the Philippines. Salonga is also coming on board as a producer.
Definitely odd that she’ll be missing the first few weeks of previews.
