Posted: 5/15/14 at 3:41pmThis thread makes me sad! I hate seeing all of these huge theatre (and non-theatre) names NOW start tweeting to go see it! I wish nothing but love to the whole cast/crew/anyone involved in this final stretch!

"Ticket has been spoken for."
I don't care if he likes it or not, you better make After Eight give them a standing ovation!

Posted: 5/15/14 at 5:09pmSo glad I attended last night. A truly magical experience. The cast put their heart and soul into their performances and having Jason Robert Brown conduct was absolutely thrilling. Made the 8-hour one-way journey so worth it.

Sad to see the show getting so much buzz now that its fate has been decided. :/

"Since then, Brown has taken to the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre to conduct the orchestra and played his final performance May 14, where an abundance of fans and friends were in attendance. They greeted O'Hara and Steven Pasquale with rapturous applause, stopped the show numerous times in its second act (following "One Second and a Million Miles," arguably the most powerful love duet of the Broadway season, O'Hara's "Almost Real" and Pasquale's "It All Fades Away"), and stood for Brown and the cast at curtain call. Brown was spotted wiping what looked like tears from his face throughout the evening."
Great interview with JRB.

Wait.
I know this was a page back...but did I really read someone say they hate it when an entire audience is filled with FANS?
Seriously? After Eight, are you such a miserable person that you find the idea of an audience supporting a show in its final week on Broadway sickening?
Why do you even attend theater? What is the point if you are just going to literally despise it when people enjoy something? Sure, you might hate it, but saying that its stupid for an audience to be supportive is just...cold-hearted.

Yep, he's the worst. Screw him. Let's enjoy and love BRIDGES!

Posted: 5/15/14 at 9:29pmJust purchased a discounted mid mezz side aisle seat for Saturday night's performance. The selection just hasn't been good enough for regular priced seats for the final show. If something good pops up, I'll go again. Just really happy to see the show one last time!

Posted: 5/15/14 at 10:30pmI saw it tonight - stunning score. O'Hara and Pasquale were amazing with real chemistry. I don' t quite understand why this didn't sell better.

I loved it.

"Where were all these people in February, March, April???"
Elsewhere. The only reason they're there now is because this is the show's last week. If the show hadn't posted its closing notice, the theatre would now be as devoid of patrons as it was in February, March, and April, if not even more so.

Posted: 5/15/14 at 11:26pmSeeing it on Sunday for the first time, along with 3 others. So there will at least be 4 people in the audience who are unfamiliar with the show to appease AfterEight

Ha, do me a favor and block me After Eight, so you can NEVER use my quote again. You're an idiot. I also love that you comment on these threads but will not post in a thread with your name on it. Literally.
After Eight, I thought this might help you put together your calendar...

Sutton,
Block you, block you, how could I block you?
You have so many interesting things to say.
Several people have wondered why the show did not catch on. So Sutton, what do you think?
