What's your vote?

I say BAT BOY.

"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

I liked batboy too...I also thought Bare and Lone Star Love both had good potential for a transfer.

Yes that's me. No, it's not a Rent homage.

Kander and Ebb's The Visit should have transferred from Chicago's Goodman Theatre to Broadway...it was that good.

Though it needs much work and was more of a guilty pleasure than anything, I absolutely loved BARE and thought it had brilliant potential.

Summer of '42.

And where on earth is the cast recording of it? Jay Records needs to hurry up.

I really loved The Bubbly Black Girl Sheds Her Chameleon Skin. Wish there was a recording of it.

VIOLET was amazing. And BUBBLY BLACK GIRL (with just a little bit of tweaking) was terrific and should have moved to Broadway.

I had way too much fun at ZANNA, DON'T!

Have the Broadway plans stalled? I know they were auditioning a year or so ago. Not sure if it's a good idea for Broadway, but I'd love to see it again.

HEDWIG is one of the shows that I'm actually thankful didn't come to Broadway. It was absolutely perfect in its Off Broadway setting. It definitely would have lost something if it had moved uptown.

Exactly. HEDWIG never would have worked in a 1000 seat house. Jane Street was ideal.

Hediwg is the perfect off-Broadway show...

I too wish Zanna had gone to Broadway, as well as Bat Boy (though I didn't see that one... I'm familiar with it through my friend).

I certainly never said that it should have gone to broadway, I simply said it was the best non transfer, in my opinion.

BARE

Though I'm not sure how any of them would do with a Broadway transfer...

Given that the show had board faovrites Idina Menzel and Julia Murney, not to mention Alix Korey, Taye Diggs,Brian d'Arcy James, and Kevin Cahoon, I'm very surprised that no one has yet mentioned Andrew Lippa's The Wild Party. I thought it was an extraordinary show and os much better than the La Chiusa version that did open on Broadway.

Bat Boy, especially Devin May, would be my second choice.
