I saw somewhere on socials that Ne-Yo was joining Hells Kitchen? Is that true? That'll be a major get.

That should do some numbers for them for the holidays.

You are deluded, Flash. That average ticket price, coupled with the vast spaces of unsold tickets in the near-term, do not lead me to believe that it is long for this world. Given ticket inflation, the 'million dollar' club has become a meaningless term.
A thousand years ago, I remember Alexander Cohen taking a two-page ad in the NYT Sunday theatre section letting the world know that Baker Street (a mediocre musical that he produced) had broken the all-time highest gross record for its first full week, roughly $100K. Ticket inflation has turned that $100K no $3M+. QOV's gross tells me that it probaby did not cover its operating costs last week and that, hopefully, it will be gone soon.

Front-loaded TKTS ticket sales, undoubtedly. At least the people are not paying full-price for that garbage.

They get to advertise him for 7 weeks while he only performs 5 of those, and not even during the busiest week of the year. If this is their attempt to bail some water out of a sinking ship, it’s an interesting one.
At this point, they need to hire Alicia Keys herself to play Jersey or Miss Liza Jane and close on a high note.

As long as Versailles keeps making a million bucks a week, I can’t imagine they fold anytime soon. They will push ahead to June so Kristin wins her Tony and maybe Stephen Schwartz finally winning a competitive one too. It’s such a slow year for new musicals, they’d surely notch a ton.

I had that EXACT same thought yesterday, but as I said earlier in the thread, I feel like many of these flailing shows are going to have leeway to leverage and stay open since there is nothing coming in
Has it returned its investment yet? I saw it on tour (HK, I mean) and was surprised how much I enjoyed it. It's total Lifetime movie bs, but I was entertained.

How many accounts has BF now had on here? Why is this allowed to continue?

I remember the Baker Street ad, big gross the first week, a little less the second week, then down the grosses went. Same thing happened to Mr. President in 1962, Mary Martin in Jennie 1963, Girl Who Came to Supper in 1963. Word of mouth eventually kicks in, and much faster these internet days when we don;t have to wait for the critics, online warnings are all over the place.

And the cabaret revival is still running strong and making 2 million weekly
Glenn Close is filming the sunset movie
We're getting that black parade musical
And great comet won the tony.
Things these have in common with your statement? none of them are ****ing true.

So, he's just straight up taking the holidays off? Wow, okay. That's shady advertising, definitely.

Maybe you’ll figure out where he’s staying, follow him, and give out his address
stalker
I mean even Yolanda is the same way (short performance wish)
Queen of Versailles has been handing out comp (for those who need it spelled out for them, that means FREE) tickets to anyone who will take them. I know St. James is a barn, and it's November, but that's never a great sign. The amount of comps going around is about equivalent to what I saw last year with Smash and Dead Outlaw toward the *end* of their run.
Just like with Heart of Rock and Roll (RIP), I received an email offering free tickets to QoV. They state "Do not request these tickets if you aren't going to show up" and blah blah blah. But it's still making a million a week so I don't get it, but it will be sticking around for the holidays definitely.
A lot of people want to see her in person, regardless of the material, so I get it.

Probably making $1MM based on early advance (based on Chenoweth and Schwartz) and TKTS, but not seeing anything being sold even in the near future. What little advance they had will disappear in no time and TKTS demand will reduce over time.
Isn't the Queen nut close to a million? The show seems safe enough through the holidays, though mid-December is an infamous dip. So hard to gauge advance sales these days, with buyers purchasing seats closer to chosen performances. I was looking at the Chess matinees and January, and the Wednesdays are wide open, mostly unsold (I note that Chess is not necessarily a midweek matinee show). This could be a rough winter - January - March - on Broadway, the outlook mitigated by the relatively small number of new shows.
