Mixed grosses despite the holiday week. Sweeney Todd gonna end up grossing $2 million per week despite doing just 7 performances.
A BEAUTIFUL NOISE really needs a new discount code if they want to survive the rest of the winter.
How did they pack all of those people into Funny Girl?! And it was so nice of the producers to give out so many free tickets!
Oh that Funny Girl, being funny again.

Lea was on vacation all last week. What a great week for Julie!
Solid numbers for SWEENEY, PARADE, BAD CINDY, DOLL'S HOUSE in their early preview weeks. Those latter 3 def have room for growth, but nobody should be complaining about starting at that level.
Re: the BEAUTIFUL NOISE comment, that may just be related to the show starting to exhaust the audience of loyal Diamond fans. Or classic winter doldrums. Time will tell.

But only 5 people paid for tickets!

It might be difficult for Sweeney Todd to make $2 million a week unless ticket sales rise further or an extra performance is added. If every day was like Sunday’s first preview, it would make about $1.8 million a week. That seems likely based on advanced sales for next couple of months. After that, we’ll see. The revival is obviously off to a strong start.

''A Beautiful Noise'' already going same route as ''Summer'', right? As been showing, ''& Juliet'' is the likely hit of this season.
I really hope ''A Doll's House'' can sustain or elevate these numbers, 800k for a play with so few actors and no sets? Very impressive, didn't knew Chastain had this power.

Jessica Chastain is a huge star who has balanced prestige movies with notable limited series, and last year's reigning Best Actress winner. Her fans might be showing up early, but either way it's a great start. THE HEIRESS recouped despite some poor reviews, and she's arguably a bigger star now than she was in 2013. She is on a similar level as Adam Driver, Bryan Cranston, Hiddleston, Jake Gyllenhaal, Amy Schumer, and Andrew Garfield when they made their star turns on Broadway.

Definitely discounted but still pulling in more revenue per seat that Some Like It Hot.

Confused why FG isn't in the summary because capacity was down by 9.94%. Still a decent number considering Lea was out and Ramin was also out for a few performances I think

The numbers originally said it made $900 some dollars and was at 670% capacity. We were just making jokes about it

Pictures From Home is doing pretty terribly. And it's a commercial production, too, not a Roundabout one, right?
So impressed at the start for Sweeney.
Also, Bad Cinderella at a $75 average ticket is... something.

Garfield's, Hiddleston's, and Driver's last Bway shows didn't recoup so...
A DOLL’S HOUSE grossing higher than BAD CINDERELLA is…something

And when a star is out sick or on vacation, there's a much greater chance of the buyers keeping their tickets instead of refunding. So these aren't indicative of sales on Julie's name alone –– they're people thinking they'll see Lea (even if her vacation was announced, people don't read). Still great numbers...and those attendees get a splendid Fanny in Julie.

No it's not. One's a play with a major star –– traditionally a big moneymaker on Broadway –– and the other is a new musical written by someone with a very mixed track record on Bway since the 90s.
RippedMan said: "Garfield's, Hiddleston's, and Driver's last Bway shows didn't recoup so..."
Fair point, I'll give you Hiddleston :) I probably shouldn't have used Garfield as example since his play was much more expensive and in two parts. And I believe Burn This DID recoup but didn't announce.

And this comment is…a reach.

Um one is starring last year's Oscar winner.
Their advance for A BEAUTIFUL NOISE must be decent since they released tickets through the end of the year. The matinees are still their hot seller.
“Beautiful Noise” should do at least 4-5 matinees a week.

They'll be doing 4 come September. I think their best schedule would be Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday at 2pm; Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 7:30pm.
