3.5 hours until curtain and rush tickets are still available. Just embarrassing

Best wishes to him."
Maybe those best wishes worked, because here it is - Tuesday mid-afternoon and no announcement ?

Announcing a replacement any minute now. Surely.

Just close it already.

Can confirm. Honestly, they are only offering the crappy mezzanine seats for rush (last row Mezz or around there) and those aren’t even worth it. I got lucky last week with a Row B Mezzanine but for a show that’s floundering, they could throw a frickin’ bone.
Even & Juliet, which is doing fine, has mostly orchestra seats for rush

Its not your money, Diva. Why does anyone care? So you can gleefully say Billy killed the show?
It looks like all the table seating for tonight has been sold, but I can’t imagine it was for anything close to full price.
The rush they’re giving out right now is the back of the mezz?? The seating chart shows the mezz is almost TOTALLY unsold. Make it make sense.
I guess anyone can just walk forward to the myriad of empty rows and sit closer..

I’ve been thinking the same thing! it was the same thing on Sunday. They had tons of MP seats and I was considering going, but I didn’t want to sit all the way up in the nosebleeds when all those seats were open

Just move, Diva.
According to TodayTix, Porter is out all week.
You never know, I saw someone get yelled at by an usher at Maybe Happy Ending for trying to move to an empty seat.

I used to do it all time til I got yelled at by an usher who threatened to have security remove me (this was at intermission). Ever since, I just want to avoid the conflict lol

nothing to do with Billy, Diva. It’s just a terrible show.

Yeah, they had announced it last week. David and Marty are splitting the week. Whether Billy comes back on 9/9 remains to be seen.
They still have 7 more weeks of this. That’s crazy

Jordan posted the link on Saturday. I checked again around 24 hours later, and about half of them were unavailable. Highly doubtful that they coincidentally sold all of those seats at full price within that period of time.
The ticketing site has quietly been updated to extend Porter's absence until 9/11.
I find it hard to believe that coincidently after all of this drama that someone becomes coincidently sophysically sick they can’t work for weeks and no details. I hope Billy is ok. I personally speculate he is having a mental health crisis because of the way he has been treated and doesn’t want to/can’t work.

One of the shows investors is sueing the production and lead producers for lack of transparency, potential self dealing and other issues regarding the shows financials

Interesting to note that James Lorenzo Walker Jr. isn't just an investor in the show but a entertainment lawyer which makes this seem potentially less frivolous and with more merit then it otherwise might be

Can’t link at the moment but the production is closing September 21 and Billy Porter has sepsis.

Which now means this revival will have played 592 regular performances.
Hope Billy is okay.
