I originally saw just one tweet from a guys who looked like he had a few fries short of a Happy Meal, but then I bounced over to the BwayToday sight and it seems to be off tonight and tomorrow (12/24)
EDIT: The show was cancelled tonight, confirmed on Da’Vinchi’s Instagram. Also, Garrett Turner (u/s) posted he will be on every performance through 1/4 and that Dyllon Burnside has been sidelined with COVID.
As of now, the only shows they have listed as “ON” tomorrow are Clyde’s and Company"
I'm pretty sure Thoughts of a Colored Man was not scheduled to have a performance tomorrow anyway, so hopefully tonight's show is their only cancelled performance and they can resume on Saturday night.
And yes it looks like Clyde's and Company are the two shows left still performing tomorrow out of the seven that were going to perform a matinee of Christmas Eve day.
EDIT- Forget what I said, Thoughts of a Colored Man has apparently closed according to Michael Paulson-

The way this is all playing out is tragic and unnecessary. There was a better way. But this is what you get when you don't have leadership. And the price will be paid for a long time.

It is a tragedy and am finding all of this news each and every day devastating especially devastating to the Broadway community!

THOUGHTS OF A COLORED MAN has decided to end its run early and is now officially closed.
A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.
Yes. I have been updated with the same informations. It’s not really an if. But when for TINA. My friend says they are just waiting for the formal announcement fr producers. But apparently very little in advance in the new year. And cases within the cast have been continuously coming up. They just aren’t sure if the plan was going to be to come back for a set of final performances or just announce that it’s played it’s final show. Should hear next week

Unlike Waitress and Jagged Little Pill, which had fantastic replacements that injected their shows with new life before premature closings, it seems Tina’s magic ran out when they lost their spark plug, Adrienne Warren. From what I hear, the show just isn’t the same without her. Sucks for Nkeki and everyone involved, but I could feel this coming for a while now.
Maybe it's just me, but the bit in Paulson's article about Foster and The Music Man seems a bit unnecessarily dramatic...
"Meanwhile, Sutton Foster, the lead actress in a revival of “The Music Man” that just started previews on Monday, missed Thursday night’s performance for reasons that the show would not explain."
Seems like "declined to" would have been sufficient. But "would not"? Yikes.
re not explaining, while I don't really have an opinion on Paulson's word choice, let's not forget that her health is not something that the production is at liberty to discuss.
Thoughts of a Colored Man is Broadway's latest COVID casualty. I won't speculate on which but I think there will be at least a few more to come.
TINA?, Doubtfire? Ain't Too Proud? Girl From the North Country? Aladdin?

Very conceivably, all of the above."
I’d replace Aladdin with Flying Over Sunset or maybe even Hadestown. The writing is on the wall for Tina… we will see about the others after the Christmas holiday.

Tina is done, for sure. Everyone else here is correct about that info. I also think another extension of the current cancellations may well spell the end for Ain't Too Proud. And I highly doubt GFTNC would be able to weather any cancellations.
As for Flying Over Sunset, well let's just say I was there last week, and I don't think the house was half full. Might not have even been 45% full. Think Home for the Holidays.
assuming anything can sustainably stay open through the omicron onslaught (and I think that's a big if), Sunset basically has the least standing in its way operationally. Could it close early nonetheless? Sure, but it will be due to logistics, not how empty the theatre is.

It’s not any of their business why she’s out of the show already. Sure it’s odd since they just started previews but there’s many reasons why she might be out but until she says, it’s not anyone but her and her shows concern. I wonder, does anyone question when he is out of office for a day? Probably not.

However- it looks like Company is adding additional swings and covers."
I only see Jeff Kready as newly added. Is there anyone else?"
For those who may not know, but Jeff Kready is the husband of Nikki Renee Daniel’s. Amazing they get to perform together!"
Do we know who Kready is understudying? He is listed as a catch all understudy on the website and IBDB - he was absolutely marvelous in Gentleman's Guide when I last saw him perform, so I would love to catch him in any of the roles he is covering.
