Thoughts of a Colored Man is Broadway's latest COVID casualty. I won't speculate on which but I think there will be at least a few more to come.
TINA?, Doubtfire? Ain't Too Proud? Girl From the North Country? Aladdin?"
Very conceivably, all of the above."
I’d replaceAladdinwithFlying Over Sunsetor maybe evenHadestown. The writing is on the wall forTina… we will see about the others after the Christmas holiday."
I’m confused why people keep throwing Hadestown in the mix, it’s been doing great business since re-opening?
As actor friends have voiced, reasons for absences are not routinely provided by management. There's no contractual obligation (contracts between anyone, including the understanding provided by productions/ ticketholders) and it's an invasion of privacy to demand explanations. We are curious in a pandemic, but curiosity doesn't entitle us to specifics. Actors who explain independent of production-issued statements can do so. But I've been reminded that it's not standard protocol to issue detailed explanations about health or injury, unless the actors choose to.

BWW posted a list of shows that are performing this weekend and Caroline or Change is missing. Have they canceled or is this just an oversight? I can’t find any official social media pages for the show other than the Roundabout page which hasn’t announced anything.
Message the Roundabout people on Twitter. I made an error when purchasing a ticket for Trouble in Mind and noticed it after the purchase went through. I made a Twitter account yesterday and messaged them. They had the error corrected in less than an hour. I’m sure they would be happy about answering any questions about performance schedules.

Looks like this was corrected and the two scheduled performances for Sunday are now listed.

It was just officially announced they're cancelling performances for this weekend and plan to resume on December 28.
A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

10 days.
CDC recently shortened it to 7 days for healthcare workers. Airlines also asked for it to be shortened. NY governor reduced it to 5 days for essential workers as long as they are asymptomatic and fever free.
Claybourne Elder said he's out of COMPANY through January 1. This would mean Sutton Foster would be out of Music Man through Jan. 2.

Thankfully Caroline, or Change is still on schedule for both performances on Sunday. I specifically bought tickets to see Clarke’s understudy that day, so I’m keeping my fingers crossed!

I was thinking thinking the same thing about Claybourne Elder with Katrina Lenk. With how highly transmittable Omicron is, it's strange -- but also encouraging, I suppose -- that someone can escape getting the virus from someone who they kiss onstage every day.

How long has he been out? The incubation period means the worst could be yet to come…
"You can't overrate Bernadette Peters. She is such a genius. There's a moment in "Too Many Mornings" and Bernadette doing 'I wore green the last time' - It's a voice that is just already given up - it is so sorrowful. Tragic. You can see from that moment the show is going to be headed into such dark territory and it hinges on this tiny throwaway moment of the voice." - Ben Brantley (2022)
"Bernadette's whole, stunning performance [as Rose in Gypsy] galvanized the actors capable of letting loose with her. Bernadette's Rose did take its rightful place, but too late, and unseen by too many who should have seen it" Arthur Laurents (2009)
"Sondheim's own favorite star performances? [Bernadette] Peters in ''Sunday in the Park,'' Lansbury in ''Sweeney Todd'' and ''obviously, Ethel was thrilling in 'Gypsy.'' Nytimes, 2000
If we’re operating under the assumption that they’re testing their company every day over at The Music Man (which, God help us, I hope they are, by now), the intention of doing so is that you catch Omicron so early on in infection that you are not yet infectious yourself. If Sutton was tested on a Tuesday, let’s say, and was negative, her test that she took on Wednesday might’ve come up positive, but she was not infected long enough for the virus to have gained a large enough count to pass on to Hugh during performances that day (knock wood).
Even though Omicron is the dominant strain, Delta is still circulating and they’ll never know which one they had. The tests won’t tell you and I asked my doctor and was told it’s not information a person will probably ever be able to find out.

What research are you citing that there is possibly a world where you test positive and are not contagious?

Example- I had covid in October 2020 and did not pass it to anyone. My household got tested and everyone was negative.
^That is happening with quite a few people I know lately, as well. Coincidentally, the infected people have received boosters as have those they’d unintentionally been around. So it seems like it’s a crap shoot as to who will actually get infected.
