Right now, I am overlistening to the 'Brooklyn' sample CD and 'La Cage aux Folles' because I am seeing them both soon, but usually I go through phases my most listened to though are:
-Wicked -Jekyll and Hyde (gothic full collection, not broadway) -Sweeney Todd -Rent -Urinetown -Avenue Q
I used to listen to 'Bombay Dreams' LOL! but then I got like this huge headache after getting Shakalaka Baby stuck in my head lol.
Avenue Q is a great morning starter! Lately, my friend burned me a Mix CD with songs from Mattress, Hairspray, and Mamma Mia and that is great to start the day also.
Rosencrantz: "Be happy - if you're not even HAPPY what's so good about surviving? We'll be all right. I suppose we just go on."
- from Tom Stoppard's Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead
tick tick boom, sweeney todd, and wicked. it used to be L5Y, but my friend borrowed it about a month ago and hasn't given it back yet lol
"Because what is more like love than the ocean? You can play in it, drown in it. It can be clear and bright enough to hurt your eyes, or covered in fog; hidden behind a curve of road, and then suddenly there in full glory. Its waves come like breaths, in and out, in and out, body stretched to forever in its possibilities, and yet its heart lies deep, not fully knowable, inconceivably majestic."
Aida, Rent, and Wicked for the most part but I also listen to YaGMCB and Tick Tick Boom on a regular basis. I'm just now getting into 'Into the Woods' so I've been playing that a lot
"The stage is where I live and come alive and act out all the things that go on in my life. It's not just what I do for a living, it's my shrink and my love affair. No one in my life has ever or ever will kiss me on the mouth like this lover called my relationship with my performance."
The Last Five Years, Songs from a New World, Nine, Rent and The Wild Party (my latest obsession) Those are my regulars
When someone blunders, we say that he makes a misstep. Is it then not clear that all the ills of mankind, all the tragic misfortunes that fill our history books, all the political blunders, all the failures of the great leaders have arisen merely from a lack of skill in dancing. - Moliere
Wicked(It's practically worn out!), Hairspray, Camp(I know it's not really a musical, but I like the music), Guys and Dolls, Damn Yankees, and Phantom of the Opera.
