"cause it's a paying job in a well known and popular show.
and being employed is better than not."
That isn't always the case for well established performers. They don't want to give the impression that they will take just anything. Even if he wanted to play the role I'm sure his agents would advise against it.
Cheyenne has nothing to worry about where his career is concerned. As he has stated in numerous interviews, he is beating offers off with a stick.
I hope he doesn't do WICKED. Jackson has established himself as a stage leading man and he has some good film credits. Unless there's a lot of money involved, there should be no need for him to be a replacement Fiyero especially when there are hundreds of other young men suitable to play that role. I'd like to see him originate roles instead.
yep i agree. i don't think he should go into WICKED, as he is now a leading actor and a very georgous one at that. Fiyero is a supporting character, where Cheyenne, has had LEAD roles in many musicals. I hope the creative team for THE LITTLE MERMAID choose him as our Prince Eric. He has a stunning and incandescent voice as well as the looks of Eric. My fingers will be crossed for him until the casting is announced!
Jackson has not established himself as a lead. He did one show and it did terribly. Wicked wouldn't lower him from ASU, they're about equal.
I'd rather see him in something new.

I disagree. While ASU did "terribly" financially, among other things, Jackson led the cast well, garnered mostly positive reviews, enlarged his fan base, had his mug plastered on a gigantic poster on Times Square, and made a number of appearances on TV and conducted numerous print interviews. If these did not christen Jackson as a leading man on Broadway, I don't know what would. What more would it take for someone to establish himself as a leading man? For instance, Craig Bierko did THE MUSIC MAN, and overnight he was a leading man on Broadway.
More importantly, Fiyero is not a leading role; it may be a leading love interest, but at most, it is a featured role in WICKED. So in that sense, Jackson going from ASU to WICKED is definitely a step down career-wise, again, unless the money was worth it.
Any word if he'll be going on tour with "All Shook Up"?
"A coherent existance after so many years of muddle" - Desiree' Armfelt, A Little Night Music
"Life keeps happening everyday, Say Yes" - 70, Girls, 70
"Life is what you do while you're waiting to die" - Zorba
He seems to big for Freddie, if that make sense. I'm so used to Norbert. Any names being tossed around for his replacement?

To Kill A Mockingbird
He recently did another workshop for "A Tale of Two Cities" - I wonder if there's a possibility of him sticking with that show if it ever finally comes to Broadway.

I am sure he would be a good Fiyero, and why the hell not if it is what he wanted to do. Good looking, and a very good singing voice BUT I have yet to see him on stage being anything other than bland. So I'd prefer the next Fiyero to be able to act [the part convincingly]. Personal choice of course.
