Matt Doyle has posted on his IG today that stage-dooring has not returned and Covid has struck Company again.  Cast or crew?

Glad to hear.  The news about new variant, esp in NYC these days, is not good.

And it isn’t just the news on COVID - keep your eyes on MONKEYPOX too, we could be dealing with a twindemic in the coming days

Grab your torches, head back to camp. Goodnight.

There's a new strain of the virus going around which is how people are catching it again.

A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

To the best of my knowledge, Company has never stage doored. So I don't know how much to read into that statement.

Edit: And Jordan, don't start spreading fear about monkeypox. I'm serious. We have a vaccine for monkeypox, and have had one for as long as any of us have been alive. It is not Covid 2.0, so don't start acting like it is.

I think being aware of what’s happening with monkey pox is perfectly reasonable.

Is this directed at me? I haven’t even posted in this thread .

Monkeypox can only be caught by skin-to-skin contact. It's not as transmittable as COVID. It's essentially a more severe form of chickenpox.

I mean, people shouldn’t be stage dooring in the first place, but if people wait, it sort of puts pressure on actors to sign and everything. So…oh and leave me alone with the “but it’s outside!”. Hush with that.

It’s also transmissible through respiratory secretions and bodily fluids.

Clearly you haven’t been following - NYC counts for 1/4 of US cases, the rollout of the vaccine has been a ****show and the cases have doubled in a week. There was a whole NYT article about it leading up to Pride and why experts were highly recommending people being cautious, educated, and talk about it. But sure, shut down the mere mention of it.

You love to get on your soapbox about things that haven’t been brought up by anyone but you - and also telling people who aren’t there to “hush” as if that does anything. It’s truly comedic at this point.

I am big. It’s the REVIVALS that got small.

I think it's time to reinstate the Mask and Vaxx mandate! I don't know if Broadway can take another beating from an impending surge. These subvariants of Omicron are severe and have the potential for more infections. Charlotte St. Martin needs to wake up and reinstate the mask and vax mandate NOW!

The idea is to work and to experiment. Some things will be creatively successful, some things will succeed at the box office, and some things will only - which is the biggest only - teach you things that see the future. And they're probably as valuable as any of your successes. -Harold Prince

So… does anyone know if anyone besides Chris is out currently?

Etai is out, but I don’t know if it’s COVID related. Nicholas Rodriguez has been on for Paul.

Good to know that you are still caught with a superbug of piety and self-righteousness.

Trying to control people was/is/will always be a giant waste of your time. Mind your business. And no, what other humans do outside is none of your business. Trust. Don't want to stage door? Don't.

Monkeypox is really serious and there has been a lot of ignorance out there saying it's a "gay disease" which it absolutely is not. It is a fact that most cases involve gay and bisexual men but it can affect anyone. But, I don't think it will affect anything involving mask wearing since it's not transmitted through the air.

Etai was out with COVID.   I was sorry to miss him when I went to see Company one more time.

Good to know you don’t realize I actually care about the performers more than a 10 second wave outside the theater which is…pointless. Shut up. Not piety and self righteous at all.

What good would a vax mandate do? I mean seriously. I am pro-vaccine but it is doing almost nothing to slow down transmission at this point. They need to invest in the pan-coronavirus vaccines that will (hopefully) be variant proof. I can see an argument for mask mandates returning but I don't think they will.
