Interesting. I know they have a theatre background, but I can’t imagine them wanting to debut outside of their drag persona.
It may not even be something this season/currently running. If anything, I would sooner bet on OH, MARY"
Ginger also mentioned she'd love to do Madame Morrible. So who knows, but always fun to speculate. It was the podcast "Sentimental Men" episode 75.

A friend of mine said she heard rumblings of Hannah Waddingham, Stephanie J Block and Alex Newell, but I haven't done any deep dive into what evidence, if any, there is. Food for thought.
I don't know if he'd replace at this point in his career, but Christian Borle would be a fabulous Ernest.

Hannah is rumoured for the London production. So either thats a possible London cast, or maybe shes doing broadway as a warm up to the London production

Is the London production opening in the Spring? I could see Hannah coming over and doing the role for 3 months prior to opening the show in the West End.

There are also rumors Megan and Jennifer are opening the London Production
Hannah just started following their socials about a week ago, so I think she is involved somehow. Now that would be excellent casting.

Considering how physically demanding the roles are, I just can't see them committing to doing their roles again for another (minimum 6 months) run in the West End. Unless the producers are willing to pay big $$$ to send them there.
I thought the rumor was Mazz Murray doing Death in London

I just saw an announcement that Hilty will be performing at Theater Royal Drury Lane next spring. I wonder if she'll be in the area for other reasons.... hmmm.

And the West End does not pay their performers like Broadway does. Currently, the Equity minimum on the West End is $1125 (UK - £838) while it’s $2439 on Broadway. Not saying either is going to make even close to minimum, but a “star salary” over there is likely going to be a major pay cut to upend them. As this is a show that doesn’t necessarily live or die by its stars, I can’t imagine they wouldn’t just use local talent.
Betsy Wolfe is officially the first replacement Madeline Ashton in the Broadway company, starting January 16!
Megan Hilty departs on January 4.

Brilliant and slightly unexpected choice, I’m so thrilled to see Betsy back on Broadway

This casting is out of left field for sure. Can't wait to see her, she'll be brilliant!

Out of left field, indeed. I love Betsy Wolfe, but replacing Megan Hilty seems off to me. You’d think they would have brought in a bigger name for the usual slump the box offices experience in January. Also, if Simard isn’t leaving too, the onstage imbalance will be noticeable. From what I’ve seen of Wolfe’s work on stage, she really comes across like a lamb. I fear Simard would eat her alive.

Why would they bring in a "name" to replace Megan Hilty, who isn't one, and whose absences did not hurt the show at all? This show is doing well with "broadway" names and Betsy Wolfe (tony nominated, right?) qualifies.
Its an uninspiring choice for people like me, who would not see this show again without a real reason to, but it makes perfect sense. She seems young for the role, but is actually similar in age to Hilty, and she has the comedy chops/voice for it...
is Simard leaving also?

The reason to bring in a name is to help boost the box office, because most box office numbers drop in January. Hilty’s absences from the show have nothing to do with the show’s ability to maintain momentum in January. The idea that everything has been fine til now under certain circumstances doesn’t mean anything after the holidays.

Well, everything you’re saying is true. It doesn’t mean that it matters. I think they’re just looking into the bigger picture. They’re right in not bringing in any names. It doesn’t need it. Even if winter is rough.

Wasn't expecting this. Curious to see if Simard leaves in January, too

Why didn’t they give Madeline to Dee Roscioli? I thought she was incredible.

She's probably seen as more valuable as a standby for both roles. Which reminds me, Dee is making her Helen debut tonight.

Now all we need is for them to announce Stephanie J. Block to be the replacement for Helen and Christian Borle to be the next Ernest and we will officially have ourselves the mini Falsettos reunion we’ve been waiting almost 10 years for.
also if it does come to the West End I wanna see Hannah Waddingham as Madeline, Victoria Hamilton as Helen, Andy Nyman as Ernest and Beverly Knight as Viola.

Love SJB, but I don't think the voice is up for Helen as written at this point imo.

I KNOW!!! I wanted to see her as Helen so badly! Don’t have the funds right now.
