Can I call dibs on two of them should some of your friends cancel?"
HI! I private messaged you yesterday about these tix- 2 are available- are you interested?
Hello everyone! Just made an account to say that I am glad I stumbled across this thread. I'm going to try the 4-day Telecharge trick, but I'm looking for one ticket for either this Friday night's show or either of the shows on Saturday. Any leads would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
Hey all, thanks to the magic of the 4 day rule, I just got a ticket for myself for a night when I can go. So I'm now sitting on 2 orchestra seats for Thursday night that I don't need, and would like to sell at face value ($213 with fees) to folks on this board. I'd like to give preference to people who haven't yet gotten to see the show (honor system). I've gotten a bunch of messages from people who wanted to buy them. I'm going to ask everyone to message me again, and then if there are more than 2 people interested, I'll draw straws later today to decide who gets them. So grateful for the tickets, and to be able to make tickets available to others.

Wait, what?!?
What time did the first guy get his tickets?
When were you told that there were no more?"
The first guy got tickets at around 12:15 I believe. Someone from the theater came up and said "two tickets, cancellation line" and he went in and got them. 5 minutes later the same guy came back and asked how many tickets each person wanted and 3 people after me (after ticket #10) he said something like "everyone after her can leave and find another show or whatever cause it’s not happening. for you guys before her, stick around". Nothing more happened after that. By 3pm they put the sold out sign inside the box office and one of the security ladies went in, came back out and apologize saying they didnt have anything else and it wasnt gonna happen.
FYI - Looks like a change in schedule, and Ben will now be out for the Wed matinee. Just noticed this new note on the Telecharge main page: "On Wednesday, November 15, matinee, Michael Lee Brown will perform the role of Evan Hansen".
Having a friend I referred with the 4 day rule, how does telecharge handle refunds again? I know she isn't going without Ben...also very odd to change the schedule this late.
Granted this was back in July, but when we got a refund when Ben was on vacation we simply called Telecharge and they issued a refund right away. They did ask why and we told them we were coming from out of town and had purchased premium tickets specifically to see Ben, and they refunded it that day. I have no idea how their policy has changed since then, but I'd imagine with this being Ben's last week and the fact that they had stated for so long he'd be doing the matinees this week I would bet they'll give the refund.
Such a bummer, especially so last notice- just checked telecharge and their website to confirm. I guess the next best plan is to call asap for a refund?

What a HUGE dick move by them!"
Or maybe, rather than a "huge dick move," Ben Platt, a human being with chronic laryngitis and long-term musculo-skeletal pain he got from playing this role, is trying not to get sick or injured again? He's endured an enormous amount of pain and taken risks with his health to do this role so often for so long. I know he was trying to make it through 8 performances his final week. But most of the time, when he's been called out, it's been because his doctors (plural--he has about five different medical professionals he sees regularly to keep him healthy enough to stay in the show at all, and to minimize the shows he misses) have ordered it. It wouldn't at all surprise me if that's what happened here.

IMHO a combination of a nice move and a semi-dick move.
Nice to tell tickets 11+ that they had no chance but I can't believe that the box office had ZERO clue until 3:00PM that all of the tickets 3-10 weren't going to happen.
What's this mean going forward? Only one pair per performance? Zero seats? An anomalous low-amount were available yesterday but people still should believe they have a chance this last week?
I do not know the details regarding this, but I read that Telecharge provided refunds for individuals who purchased tickets to see Ben's performance during his vacation IF purchased prior to the announcement.
With that said, I have spoken with a few people at Telecharge on the phone and they seem to be accommodating!

He was fragile, over-worked and/or "injured" months, weeks and days ago ... not something JUST found out today.
What are the odds now that, on Thursday, another note will be posted that Ben will be replaced for the Saturday matinee performance?
