In theory, anything is possible. I remember the Chatterbox episode (God, I miss those!) with Kelli O'Hara where she said that for a little while Bart Sher had her, Victoria Clark, and Celia Keenan-Bolger all at the very end of call backs for South Pacific, because he wasn't sure what age or how he wanted his Nellie to be played...perhaps Ashley Park, Laura Benanti are all in the same situation.

Idina Menzel is Eliza. You heard it here first. It's a daring new version of My Fair Lady set in modern times and the score will feature musical arrangements by Taylor Swift.

I'll mention that to Mr. Sher. I'm sure he'll find it amusing.

Ugh, really? I was hoping for Taylor Swift as Eliza, featuring Idina Menzel's musical arrangements.

And you must not know much about her history with Barlett Sher musicals:
Haha, chill Jim. Your original comment made me laugh, and I made a joke based off of that. Admittedly, I mistakenly thought your comment was also a joke. Clearly that is not the case, but there's no reason to get defensive and insult people, even passive aggressively.
I have absolutely no idea if Ambrose is going to get the role, is interested in the role, or is auditioning for the role. But, it would be as out of left field as any casting rumor we've heard so far, especially since the assumption is that Sher was casting the role with a younger actress.
Either way, I applaud you for thinking outside the box and suggesting it to industry people. For your sake, I hope she gets the gig.
