If no role has been cast yet that means I can still hope for Alison!

Please make this happen. I'm sure if he wanted it, Disney would offer it to him. If they cast him, Betsy, and Laura Osnes in this.... I don't think my inner fangirl could be restrained.
This article says the show is going to the St. James, that Oak did the reading for Kristoff, and that Olaf is going to be an actor in costume. I wonder how Oak was! I'm sure it was great, and I'd love to see him stay on Broadway after he leaves Hamilton.
No casting has been finalized, nor announced, for the Broadway run. This was just for the lab. Let's not start freaking out again like we did with Patti's casting.
I feel sorry for parents of children who will want to see it. The cost of the tickets will be astronomical. Add to that, you have all the souvenirs kids will want and parents who will never say no. If you have more than that, you are in trouble.
Can you spell another Disney Cash Cow boys and girls? Not exactly great theater but nothing you can do.
I originally couldn't see him as Kristoff either. But in this situation a black Kristoff could work. That is if he continues with the show and if the creative team goes in that direction.

Nobody mentioned his race.
They/them.

And Olaf isn't even going to be played by a real SNOWMAN!
I know there is certainly a line between the Disney park shows and their full scale Broadway productions but I thought this was some very interesting new images from the parks that could be a good sign about things bleed over into the upcoming Broadway production.
The new Frozen stage show out at the California Adventure park officially opens on Friday but soft opens started yesterday so the first images are coming out from the production. They are color blind casting the main roles, which is really a big thing for the theme parks. I have not seen images of Elsa yet but at least for the performance this picture was taken at, Kristoff is played by an African american actor and while I can't pinpoint Anna's background, she seems to be non-white or of mixed background as well.
Found more images the same cast as above as well as a second cast. They have few casts that rotate in these stage shows at the parks daily since they do shows pretty much back to back during the day. Elsa in the one cast is white BUT Elsa in the other cast is not. As someone that has worked in the entertainment department in the Disney theme parks back in the day and know how strict the company is about how their characters are portrayed in the parks, this is REALLY exciting to see. Also a look at the set up for "In Summer" with the ensemble and the Olaf puppet again.

This looks absolutely adorable. Love black Elsa & Anna! The actor for Olaf is spot on. Interesting that Love is an Open Door is the finale! The staging could be bigger though, it looks cramp. And the trolls look scary as heck!
