FROZEN to Arrive on Broadway in Spring 2018

Should we assume The New Amsterdam or one of the Nederlander theaters?

Can we have the movie cast be the OBC? With Idina, Groff, and Josh Gad I think it would be fantastic.

It says it will JOIN Aladdin and Lion King. So I'm assuming a new venue (the Lyric?).

eh. Frozen's score and book aren't even half as good as Beauty, Poppins and Lion King. Not expecting this to be very good. It will make money sure but the score is just so meh.

My guess is the Lunt-Fontanne. Finding Neverland should be out by 2018.

Which try-out city? Chicago? Seattle? Denver? San Diego?

I was going to say when we're going to get an update, this is great!

It would be a nice venue. The blue interior would match the setting. We also need to see what the set is like to better predict. Would the Palace be ready in time?

No, they have to wait for An American in Paris to close before they can start the one year raising of the theater.

Id like to see many many many many more songs written for it. Minimize the dialogue scenes cause the plot is eh.

I love Bob Crowley's stuff. I'm excited to see his designs. I hope he has something very imaginative dreamed up for Olaf and for the ice palace reveal.

Here's hoping Annaleigh will be reprising her role as Unnamed Troll #2!!

If it ends up going into a Nederlander then it will probably premiere in Chicago.

The whole movie is "eh".
I'm more excited to see what Sponge Bob is going to come up that this boring retread.

They're bringing on a fascinatingly good creative team—though they, of course, are not mounting this production to appeal to theatre elites. It will be another commercial bonanza for Disney and they will recoup in no time, regardless of the show itself being good or not.

Thanks, Captain Obvious.

I thought the same about The Little Mermaid. Seemed like a guaranteed hit, but it ended up flopping badly.

......the big question is - will "Let it Go" become the biggest first act-ending showstopper since "Defying Gravity"... or will it fall somewhere else in the show.

^ I was just thinking about this, ACL. Frozen is definitely not a sure thing. If the show sucks, it won't have legs. Doesn't matter what title it is.
