Re: Gossip -
sorry guys, can't do it - it's SO not fair. It's hard enough to get up on a stage - try to do your best work - have people dog you for it (not everybody's gonna love ya) and then have them DIG INTO YOUR LIFE!!!

I'll volunteer any info about MY life that I see fit... but I can't dish on other people. Especially people I claim to love.

As for who took what - I honestly don't know. But I bet everybody kept something....

Another question: Given your experiences, would you ever allow your children to go into showbusiness?

great question - Of course I would, but not as children. If they really want it when they grow up - who am I to say no?

my kids - 12-4

What happened at RENT - STAYS at RENT

haha I love it! I just wanted to let you know that Rent reminds me of me and my group of friends so much...they are my surrogate family and mean the world to me, everytime I think of Rent (which is often) I just think about how blessed i am that they are in my life

I think that's the largest thread I've seen on here so far. Maybe I'll read it some time when I'm really bored...

For now, this is good enough for me! :)

I completely respect your decision not to get them involved as children. As a music teacher, I have seen too many parents who want to push their kids on stage. However, I wondered, have any of your children showed any interest in performing?

Oh great..another mega huge thread. I actually read the entire Anthony Rapp thread. It made my whole right arm go numb from moving the mouse..my chair is not very ergonomically positioned I guess.

:)

Jim Caruso: You know, you are doing Wicked.
Stephanie J Block: I am!
Jim: Is anyone coming to that old thing?

it is a great question Bway Baby...

*sigh* where to begin...

it's easy to arm-chair direct after the fact isn't it...
and I don't want to take a chance of offending Chris in any way...

but - one thing i know i would have done differently and that's kept it an OPERA - all singing all the time....

Fredi---
Sorry if this is a stupid question, but have you seen RENT on Broadway recently? Do you see it often?

I, too, ended up skimming the Anthony thread- just reading his posts. It still took a really really long time..not sure if I'm ready to do that again, yet.

Fredi- of course we don't REALLY want you to gossip (or, at least, I don't). That would be very unfair to all of your friends. I think we're just happy with anything.

I agree, Fredi. Though I liked what they did with the script, it would've been interesting to see it fully sung.

I would have LOVED that. It was so odd to hear singing lines spoken.

I wish it was fully sung also. That would've prevented some strange transitions into song from happening. *sigh*

I too have seen kids pushed too far by their parents, in regards to acting and musicals, etc.

I spent several summers at Interlochen, talk about showbiz parents...

I applaud you, Fredi for letting your children make their own decisions (regarding acting), but waiting until they are old enough to make informed decisions.
