It sounds so good...I did not believe it until I heard it was the real deal...It's to bad they cut the "Ti Voglio Bene" part of the song.
Full "Be Italian"
Orchestrations sound great and Fergie knocks it out of the park vocally. Can't wait to see this.
I also can't wait to see page after page of people complaining about what has been cut and changed.
She sounds absolutely incredible. I'm blown away!

This sounds great, can't wait for the movie
i love the new syncopated instrumental part. fergie sounds raunchy and sexy. wow!
These orchestrations are going to make the rest of the score even more beautiful then it already is. I still can't get over how fantastic that was.
Although I do think this will be the strongest vocal performance in the movie.

Sounds great! Still not sure how the "Marshall Touch" is going to be but I'm excited to find out.
Also, does anyone know the release date for the album now? It's no longer listed on amazon.
In stores December 22nd, not sure about online pre-sale

Thanks! I was hoping they didn't push it back as well but alas they did. Oh well, gotta wait for the movie, might as well wait for the soundtrack.
A terrific vocal performance. Wow, what a voice!
And I really like the orchestrations, too.
Doesn't surprise me at all. I know Fergie possesses a good vocal range and was sure she would do full justice to this song when she was initially cast.
I'm more interested in hearing how the other actresses handle their vocals.

From what I've read from critics, etc who have seen screenings, "Be Italian" is apparently the best number in the movie. And Fergie has the best voice of all. So while this sounds exceptional, I'm hoping the rest of the Soundtrack will too. Fingers crossed; can't wait for this movie!

It seems to range between "Be Italian", "A Call From the Vatican" and "My Husband Makes Movies". The first two were a given, but in the recent test screenings people have been saying that the cinematography in the latter is v. good.
Wow. She sounds incredible. I love it!
I was working on Sunday, and this straight couple came up to box office to buy tickets. I can't remember what they wanted to see, but somehow, Daniel Day Lewis came up in the short conversation. The guy was excited to see NINE, even though he knew it was a musical. I was pleasantly surprised!
^^But, if I said I was at a football game, and was surprised to see a gay couple enjoying themselves, I'd be a homophobe, right?
no brian, you'd be a misogynist.
Here we go.....It could only stay on topic for so long......
I can not wait! SO excited to see this.
Over at IMDB there are several detailed reviews of the film on the boards. So far everyone has been blown away by it, and they're saying it's going to clean up with Oscar nominations.
The best part is that most of the reviews are from non-theater people, so the reviews are based solely on this film, rather than a comparison to the Broadway version.
Most people say that Cruz knocks Vatican out of the ballpark (which I expected) and that Kidman, while good, is the weakest of the women.
Dench has very little screen time (as we know) and Sophia is passable.
Day Lewis should possibly clear his mantle for a 3rd Oscar.
Very little comments on his singing except that it was ok.
ETA - and Cotillard is amazing as well.
