Mature is putting it very (very...) delicately.
Really enjoying this so far. Definitely better than the NBC live musicals.

Kail definitely knows what he is doing here as a director.

This is really good so far, BUT these little fourth wall breaks in "Grease is the Word" and before commercial breaks are awful...they need to go
The production values are pretty great, but this is about as live as Ashlee Simpson on Saturday Night Live
Not really enjoying this whole cheerleader scene.
Questioning the "live" singing...
Also Patty is way too pretty for her character. Also she looks like a blonde Vanessa Hudgens!
How do you watch the backstage stream? Is it the videos on FB?
So far it's way better than I thought it would be.

Likewise besty.....and that cheerleader scene was hilarious!
I'm quite impressed so far and think they are doing a great job! Just from a technical standpoint alone they are putting NBC to SHAME!

Nah, There is still not enough audience reaction. So far there is no laughter after the jokes land. The "audience" here feels more like uncostumed extras half the time and the other half like a TV talent show audience... forced and fake.
Sandy was terrific. I'm very impressed with the production values. All the sets and costumes. And the live audience.
They're losing me already. Dialogue is a bore.

why is the majority of the live audience all white teenage girls lol
Carly Rae is adorable! Julianne is excellent!

You realize that you're watching Grease, right????

It definitely is a mostly female audience. Probably because they love musicals.
Already starting to drag. We're over a half hour in, and Sandy & Danny are just meeting….
Rizzo is the weakest link as far as acting goes. And Danny looks way too old. In that Luke way from 90210.
Frenchy is great. Sandy is the strongest thing in it so far. And I love Anna Gasteyer. Although I am reminded of Eve Arden, and there is no comparison to Eve.
But overall it's kind of astounding how they are pulling off the production live on this scale.

What did you expect?? It's a live musical on TV with commercials... We aren't in a theatre with no interruptions...
Am I the only one not loving this so far?
I LOVE the people and am incredibly impressed with the costumes/singing/dancing.
But the whole audience aspect is bothering the hell out of me. The screaming makes it feel SO cheap and Mario Lopez? Really? This isn't some reality TV competition.
I actually loved the way NBC has done their shows so far so that could be why I'm not loving the way this is being filmed.
But, I shall still watch it because the talent is incredible!
