Keke sure is giving a masterclass in overacting.

I've never liked Grease much and probably never will, but I appreciate the production values here and that the cast seems fully in it. I think Keke Palmer is wonderful and Hudgens is showing a lot of poise and strength at a terribly difficult time for her and her family.

We know it's not Sondheim it's Grease...and now, that there is a live audience in certain scenes, you still bitch. Just go away sad people."
I totally agree.

Interesting...the entire soundtrack is available for this show on Apple Music right now...and it's not even over. Waiting for it on the west coast... Maybe they pre recorded an album for release...? Anyone know?

Probably. The Sound of Music did this too.

Ugh. These lyrics for Greased Lightning. Draggin' wagon makes no sense. At least "chicks'll scream" isn't total nonsense.

OK those lyrics were hilarious. Way too Disney.

Really enjoying it, ( even is Sandy is no longer from Austrailia!) but someone please get rid of Mario Lopez !!

The new song keke sang was pure gold. And the costume/set change was so cool! Also how did they switch out the grease lighting car so quickly?!

Actually, I AM enjoying it, doesn't mean there aren't things that take me out of the moment.
LOVED the choreo in Greased Lightning.

I'm enjoying it so far. The only thing that bothered me was in the beginning, in the office, the girl who was playing Anna Gasteyer's assistant was overacting and with that chewing gum, oy!

That new song is an old song from the original show. LOL

They said "bangin wagon" which makes sense. You can't say p@#% on something geared toward teens. Vanessa also can't say "f@#l you" in a foreign language. Im not sure what people were expecting.
They are creaming NBC in terms of energy and production values. This show looks and sounds great.

Wow this is thrilling. Must give it to FOX. They making the other Live shows seem like they were in Black and White.

In the original show sandy dumbrowsky was not from Australia. That was changed for olive newton-John

I liked the choreography to grease lightning. The dancers were great.

Sandy was NEVER from Australia. They changed it because Olivia Newton-John was cast in the role for the movie.
And Freddy My Love is NOT a NEW song!
These youngings...I tell ya!

The cast is REALLY strong, the production values are excellent, and the live audience adds nice energy
But, the Mario Lopez bits are ruining it...if I wanted to watch the cast run around across sets with commentary, I would watch the backstage livestream, but I'm not because I simply want to enjoy the story being told right now

NBC's presentations are by far better. The way this is being done is just like a variety show and not a musical. I just turned it off

LOL her performance is very theatrical and I am loving it!!!

Yep---- that's the problem --- my love for Olivia !! :)). ( and Austrailia)
