It's probably my favorite of the NBC logos yet. True it's basic AF but at least it fits the feel of the show. I hated all the other logos to death for various reasons. Adding some texture to the white lettering and maybe even the other aspects would make it look a little less MS paint though.
Eh I am really unimpressed. I love this show but the brass at NBC needed a musical that was similar in tone to "Grease" and this show was the obvious choice to do.
They are just mimicking FOX by doing this to try to emulate the success of "Grease Live!"
Beanie Feldstein is not an unknown but she is also not very well known at all. I also know of someone in the running but Beanie is far better. I would say that most people do NOT know who Beanie is. I happened to catch her on Fallon and looked her up. She has the right personality and charm and could nail the part.
I think every character the authority figures play will all likely be played by separate actors. It's easier to have one actor play multiple roles onstage than onscreen.

I can't see Bebe belting out 'Velma's Revenge', having saw her as Mama in Chicago, she's not much of a belter. But otherwise she would be great casting.
Per a post on Marc Shaiman's Facebook, the announcement looks to be who is playing Tracy. The below was posted along with a photo of Ricki, Nikki, and Marissa.
