I'll be at the evening performance on Saturday. Bummed to miss Chris Jackson but I was fortunate to see the OBC last August. Coincidentally, Anthony Ramos was out when I saw it so I am happy to be able to catch him in the show before he leaves!
Super random question: do you think we'll ever get another round of production photos taken of the show? With Jordan Fisher coming in next week, the current Broadway cast is almost completely turned over from the original cast, and I'd love to see professional shots of Javi, BVD, Lexi, etc. It's not like they need new shots to market the show or anything, obviously, but still...

I saw it last night with Nicholas Christopher. He was fantastic! Chris was prob my fave of the OBC so I surprised myself when I liked Nicholas so much. He has the same stage presence as Chris and his voice was amazing. Gave his own little spin at the end of One Last Time.
Sadly I could not get into Seth Stewart as Laf/Jef. Technically good - humorous when called for. But there's just something lacking in his performance. For me anyways. He's not Daveed - not by a long shot.

Between Oak's Snapchat today and Andrew Chappelle's tweet, it looks like Jasmine Cephas Jones will be leaving the company very soon (possibly tomorrow?).

Andrew is going to London so that may be the reason for the "my last performance." But I wouldn't think he'd be gone *that* long, so I'd assume her departure is sooner rather than later...

Is he going to London to audition for Hamilton over there? Aren't all the creatives there to audition people now?

There's absolutely no reason for Andrew to audition for Hamilton in London. He is already apart of the show it self. If the creatives want him in the London performance than they would probably ask him than rather him audition for the same people who let him in the Broadway production.
I'm assuming the Peggy/Maria covers will be on for the rest of the week, before a new actress starts.......or we'll have a whole Daveed Diggs thing again. I'd love to see Ciara Renee who played the roles in the workshop play the roles on broadway!
Man, I'm seeing it in January and I had hoped to see at least one of the original principals. And Oak and Jasmine were the two I most wanted to see. And I'm missing them by mere weeks.
Oh well, excited to see who the new Peggy/Maria will be!
Has there been any word on who will continue as Lafayette/Jefferson in 2017? I believe the original announcement said Seth Stewart was in the role till the end of the year?
I still don't understand why the Hamilton GM team (or whomsoever handles such matters) is so utterly incapable of announcing cast changes in a streamlined, normal way. Anthony Ramos is the only cast change that got a normal press treatment.

I'm missing Jasmine by less than 48 hours; my tickets are for this Saturday's mat. I too, wanted to hear that wail in Say No to This. But hey--I'm ALL about understudies/swings/ensemblists/etc.and I'm lucky to be going in the first place. :)

They also did a good job with announcing Mandy. But yeah, they're pretty terrible at their jobs.
The press team is definitely terrible in their own ways (in my own experience) but I don't think not announcing cast changes is because of their incompetence. They just don't care.

It's weird, right? Contracts usually end at the end of a week. Not on a Thursday.

She might have used a few leftover vacation days to cover the rest of the week.
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it?
These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

Maybe the cast member didn't want to make it a big deal. I believe that they have a say on how they leave.
However, I think that cast changes are publicly announced in the press mostly so people would buy tickets to see them before they leave. There are no tickets to buy, plus I'm sure TPTB don't want to spotlight to those who pay a good amount for future tickets that they're getting replacements & not the original cast.
