random question but when did Alysha Deslorieux leave the show?

"Contentment, it seems, simply happens. It appears accompanied by no bravos and no tears."

"I believe that they have a say on how they leave."

I've never ever heard of that being true.

Also what is "TPTB"?

Oh. The producers. As I said before--- they don't care.

From http://www.playbill.com/article/hamiltons-original-peggy-bids-farewell-today

Asked who would be succeeding Jones in the role, a production spokesperson said, “We have nothing to report at this time.” Elizabeth Judd is listed in the Playbill as her understudy.

Syndee Winters is also the standby, not that Playbill cares about accuracy.

Any clues as to who is going on as Peggy/Maria today?

According to her Instagram, Sydnee went on tonight.

I was there tonight. Michael Luwoye as Hamilton, Jevon McFerrin as Hercules (I didn't realize Oak was gone).

Oak isn't leaving until December 24! He must have just been out for tonight.

How'd you like Luwoye? And how was Winters as Peggy/Maria?

Luwoye was terrific. He's a great performer. Winters was unremarkable, but serviceable. I wrote a mini recap thoughts in the other Hamilton post. Generally the female trio was underwhelming. I think Mandy Gonzales fares well in typical melodramatic roles with songs that have long extended notes. Her voice sounded quite wobbly in Angelica's rather succinct and sharp lines. I'm curious to see how Karen Olivo does next week.

Oak has been out a lot the past few months. It's very hard for me to picture Jevon in the Mulligan role -- he doesn't look like someone who, when knocked down, would readily get the f*** back up again.

suzycat, I'm pretty sure Thayne just went on for a few of Rory's performances.

Yeah, Thayne is just the understudy. Rory had a concert last night.

FWIW, Oak has had what I'd call questionable attendance for a long time. I'm surprised he has stayed so long in the show.

I'm shocked that Jordan is leaving so soon. Also, another Laf/Jeff wasn't announced so I really hope that doesn't mean Seth is staying. Happy to see Alysha return!

Wait, why is JorDan Fisher leaving so soon? Joining another company I hope? Seems weird otherwise.

Also HOORAY Alysha is returning as a principal well deserved

I believe that they coronated Thayne because, at least to my knowledge, an understudy has never gone on for King George before.
